Xbox Series X has a lot going for it, especially if you can find a deal. I personally believe the backwards compatibility program is a massive reason to own one. Yes, current gen only games are sparse, but there's a ton of games to play regardless.

There needs to be more true exclusives on PS5 and Xbox Series than I can’t play on PS4/XB1. I own and love them both primarily for the FPS boost and/or up res then backwards compatibility of my old favorites.

There is many great games that are not in xbox One. And neither any new xbox first party games are coming to xbox one anymore. But most importantly xbox Series x and s have so much lesser loading times, has fast return to the games facility and upcales even many older gen games to run 4k/60 and look much better. After I upgraded my xbox One to Series x and S I havent went back to playing it because it is just so slow in comparison and dont get the latest upgrates even for some games on it anymore, even if those same games in Series X and S still gets. One good excample is Cyberpunk 2077. Its like a different game in Series X/S than in Xbox One.

@@susanna8612 Yeah Cyberpunk was trash on PS4 and shelved it. Threw it on PS5 a while back after the free patch and wow what a difference!

@@malecus7664 Exactly! The latest upgrade in Cyberpunk really made big difference and the graphics looks so much better in newest consoles than last gen. Xbox One/PS4 era is pretty much finally coming to an end...even if they still releases some games to them.

8/29/24 I finally upgraded to an Xbox X from an Xbox One back in April 2024 when Best Buy had a sale for a new one for $350 and I added a 4tb external HD made for the Xbox X for storage. The only bonus was faster load times, plus the new OS Xbox live loading screen, and some backward compatible game with Xbox One / 360. But as far as newer games just for the Xbox X great new games have been pretty thin in coming. Even with better graphics and higher frame rates the lack of games I want has me going back to retro games when classic games were great. A great decision since I own and have the discs to keep my collection still useable.

I rarely touch my Series X, but recently I have been buying a bunch of X360 games and utlising backward compatibility, which is definitely one of the big positives given that those same games are stuck on a PS3...I have also just discovered Forza Horizon 4 (which even though I own F Horizon 3 and 5, have yet to play)...and have been pleasantly surprised as driving games generally dont keep my attention for very long

Well those handful of exclusives from PlayStation are of incredible quality and scope. I own both a PS5 and Series X, but I feel Microsoft hasn't exactly been competitive this generation in terms of games and things.

I appreciate the effort, but if these are really the best XSX exclusives, then they aren’t a good reasons to get an Xbox. I bought one just to play backwards compatible games with higher resolution and boosted frame rate. It was worth it to me as I really enjoy games from previous generations.

More games are coming, I am not even sure Xbox will have exclusives in the future, but the dedication to backwards compatibility and improvements make it a console worth owning.

I sold the xbox series x TWICE. First time i got it 2022 and sold it 2023. I got another one in 2023 and sold it again 2024. This console hardly has any exclusive games. It feels empty. So does playstation 5

I only fly MSFS with a Hotas n race FORZA M with wheel in a rig plus i few other older race titles on the HDD mem card so this gen XBX X works good for me.

I bought my X for Forza Motorsport as it was next gen only. I’ve sunk a couple of hundred hours into it but only a couple of hours into Starfield. I’ll probably buy Horizon 5 next, though I’m still on 4 at the moment. I mainly use it for the back-compat as I have all the previous generations of Xbox and it’s nice to have a single lounge Xbox that can play a sample of games right back to the OG. I have both the PS5 and Series X but clock up more time on the X simply because of the four generations of content I can play on it. Still prefer the current XBox controller to the Dualsense for the ergonomic layout of the thumb sticks. My ageing thumbs know it after using the dualsense for over an hour. I bought the PS5 first as it had a big price drop at one point and the Series X remained at full price. I picked up the X later when the price softened. Until Forza Motorsport released I had no reason to own one in reality. Not interested in Gamepass as I already own a back catalogue and beyond Indy and Horizon 5 I have all I need.

I love my Xbox series x for emulation in developer mode I revisit older consoles like PlayStation 2 Dreamcast and PlayStation 1 more than I play new AAA titles that are released

Well not exactly, I mean they don't really get anything from PC, in particular Steam. Where as a console store nets them 30% on all 3rd party microtransactions and 30% of all 3rd party game sales in addition to 100% of all their own first party digital game sales.

Backwards compatibility and gamepass are not a reason to buy it. Its a new generation £480 console that should have NEW GEN games. Not old shitty 360 games and xbox one games. If u wanna play those then buy a xbox 360. Its embarassing. Game pass sucks.. its full of crap games. Theres very few good games and u can just buy them in cash and save wasting money on monthly subscription

I agree with half of this. Backwards compatibility is pointless and the reason why there aren’t as many new games anymore. Gamers are always begging for backward compatibility and these huge companies in return just port old games to new hardware with performance bumps. If you want to play old games, keep your old console. That’s how we did it in the 90s… Game pass however is good value if you play digital games instead of buying physical. Halo, COD, Forza, Starfield, etc are all on gamepass. These are basically Microsoft’s largest titles for under $20 a month.

There's free enhancements on many of the backwards compatibility titles. There's not a ton of current gen games that are great on any system at the moment.

@@PRIIMETIIME The reason why there aren't as many new games is because the cost to make them has grew tremendously. So, developers will only make sure fire bets on hits and known IP for the most part. Taking risks on something new likely won't happen.

There's no getaway, midnight club, gta san Andrea's, batman begins, spiderman. Etc. It's just very few games or just indie games that no one plays that's the problem. If it was fully backwards compatible with all the old games then it would be worth it but that's impossible they need to buy the rights again

Bruh, why are you doing this video? At this point the hardcore xbox fans have more than likely bought a series x or s. So your trying to introduce new gamers or maybe someone who's looking to gift a 9th Gen console to a loved one and I don't think your recommendation is a good one. You start out talking about ncaa football. A game you can get for the ps5. That's the catch. You should be doing a comparison between xbox and ps5. My reasoning is because the games you listed are more than likely gonna come to the ps5. I wouldn't recommend any series consoles. Microsoft is giving up and they've pretty said as much. Why would I buy a series s as well. That console is holding back 3rd party devs and publishers from releasing the newest games because the series s can't keep up with the games that are fine on series x. I'm not saying it's junk, but just that it was a mistake. Anyone who doesn't agree is all good, but I couldn't in good conscious recommend a series console. Come at bro's!

There's many gamers still on an Xbox One, and those games all work on Xbox Series X. Regardless if some Xbox games go to PlayStation, all those backwards compatible titles aren't working on a PS5. Last December they were selling a Series X for $350, and it's worth that price any day of the week. It's honestly a great console and I have around 1500 digital games installed on mine. And own hundreds more physically. If anything is holding back current gen games it's that a ton of games are still supported on Xbox One and PS4. Not to mention all the service games still get updated on last gen consoles, so many see no reason to move forward. I'd even say the PS5 exclusives weren't amazing and there's no Series S to hold them back....
