Although i don’t play the Xbox 360 every time i want a gaming session but it does still holds up in 2024 and plays games extremely well for a console that was released in 2005. And you actually can still download the original xbox360 game titles from the xbox one store then it will be in your purchase history where you download it to your 360 console.

@@robarkle I use my main account on my rgh. Console is dual nand using a xecuter demon (a ‘nandwich’ also work). So, I dont connect to xbox live anymore, but in the past, my trick was to use a unsupported hdd for aurora (hard drive is not detected in retail mode) and my account was on a usb thumb drive.

@@canerbasaran5872 a soft modded ps2 could do the trick, but I suggest a fat to use the hard drive with network adapter. Otherwise, a gamecube retro compatible Wii is absolutely killer and super easy to mod.

@@BonZonT cloud saves are free on the whole Xbox ecosystem, online multiplayer requires gamepass core. Your cloud saves will also work on Xbox one, series, PC.

Of course it is. I still use my 360 daily. Also, I pretty often still use my Wii and PS3 too! You can still play Gears Of War 3 (and I believe others?) Online with friends/fam that are on the One or Series S/X even. My son was on his Series X, my friend was on his One. My other frined on his One. And I went old school, using my 360. And we played 50 waves horde mode online together. All able to chat with headsets on the systems too! You can still watch youtube in the 360 and PS3 as well.

one of the main reasons why SOME Call of Duty servers are still up is due to XBOX 360 backwards compatibility on newer XBOXes. Microsoft fixed them so you could still buy these games on modern hardware and play online as well. that said , they shouldn't have shut the store down , now that they did hacking the system becomes ethical and moral. also the PS3 is not a more powerful system than 360. 360 had it beat and was easier to develop for.
