Buying Bic lighters in bulk

I guess it doesn’t hurt to carry a bic. Easy lighting. There will be times when you need a quick light and the scene is not meant for a ferro rod or flint and steel lighting. Thanks for sharing. Tony.

it's easy fire, we always carry flint and steel and a ferro rod but should also carry instant easy fire in the form of a lighter.

A Bic is more bushcrafty; ferro rods are a modern invention, basically a Bic without the fuel. lol

I have had flints in Bics turn to dust even from house storage. I've also bought Clipper flints that the store must have had for a long time because they were all dust when I opened the package. I also find some Clippers have a wheel that is much harder to turn than Bics because the wheel has too few bumps for the thumb to grip on. I do like Clipper Jet. I also buy a pack of Bics each year rather than a ton of bics at one time. Some of my working Bics are 5+ years old, and others have dusted after just a year. I too like orange Bics but if you get the decorative ones, the plastic wrap can be peeled off and you are left with a white Bic you can hold up to the light to see how much fuel you have left.

I always carry a lighter. Never know when you might need a quick fire or light of a torch. 👍👍

I have found that to be the case in most instances as well mate, though the Clippers are pretty easy to refill
