I just love Edward VII florins. You should save up to get one in top condition where the full glory of the design is revealed. I think a 1902 would be the cheapest.

King George the Fourth was the King who insisted that the 4 was IIII rather than IV, and because he was King, it was henceforth so. (I like watches with Roman Numerals, but only if the 4 is shown as IIII.

Basically, no it isn't. £5 crowns aren't circulation coinage, cash centres will not accept them. If you manage to spend it it is because the person behind the counter is taking responsibility for it (ie adding it to their own collection and paying the £5 into their till themselves).

Thanks for watching As you say £5 coins aren't circulation coins however they do remain legal tender as payment However a shopkeeper is allowed (and very likely to) refuse it
