I just received a Kurono Grand Mori with the green Urushi dial. It is, in my opinion, a grave disservice to anyone watching this video to say that Kurono watches ..."are pretty low quality". At least in the case of the watch I own, the dial and case finishing are as good as anything around, and clearly demonstrate that there is plenty of hand labor involved.

I am also hurt, by Federico's words. I love Kurono Tokyo, and I'm glad they are trying to combat the flippers. It does hurt the value, but also gives anyone a chance to purchase one.

The Urushi dials on the Kurono Tokyo watches are really well done. On par with Anordain dials in my humble opinion

Fed, it is a small small world -- I just bought the same H. Moser model you are wearing last week, but with the red fume dial. Mine came with a black rubber strap from the AD. I love the look and feel and am so happy to add my first H. Moser to my collection since they only make 1500 watches/year!

I used my CC when I bought my SMP300 because 1) it was a new enough card where they offered 12 months of no interest and 2) I got a $300 welcome bonus AND cash back rewards on the purchase. Had it all paid off in about 3 months

I financed my first watch. It was 0% for 12 months. I did it because of the free money. I got tired of the payment in month 2 and paid it off. I have the money to buy cash.. but I take 0% often. My 2nd watch I wish that I used my credit card for the pts, but I used my debit card. I will also do layaway sometimes also. Because I want a watch, but won't buy one unless I accomplish something. Being eager to pay it off, I work harder to have an accomplishment. I'm all over the place.

Depends on the financing. If you can take a loan at near 0% you would be a fool not to. Invest the lump sum to return a higher rate than the loan. If you’re buying on a credit card with 19-23% interest that you’ll pay off over many months then you’re a fool and should save up instead.

Great way to avoid the “how much was that watch?” that I heard from The Pontiff’s channel: He said he responds that it was a gift, so he doesn’t really know. Not exactly honest, but a safe swerve!

I thought of that yesterday and posted in here... thinking I was a genius! Haha
@hunterphan55062 жыл бұрын
You might get away with just simply saying “it’s a gift” with a smile and stop there. That’s not dishonest. It’s in fact a gift to yourself; and you never say anything about not knowing the price.

Greetings from England , great vid as always . So true about tuning forks/early quartz , plus they can corrupt my wireless ! Recently , sold my last two, for good prices to new collectors , Omega hz and bulova spaceview, as I was always paranoid that the next time I wanted to wear one they would have stopped working .

The way I see it is, if you can afford to buy the watch multiple times in full right now, then you can afford the watch. Then after that if you wanna buy it in full or finance it, I think either is a fine choice. Just don't go into credit card debt to buy it lol that should be obvious to people but unfortunately it isn't.
@sharinglungs32262 жыл бұрын
I’ve been thinking of going the financing route for my first luxury watch. At or near 0% financing I know I could invest the money for the watch and pay off any financing charges while also making more money on it. Hopefully by the time I’ve paid off the watch my investment would be enough to buy a second one.

If an adult wants to buy an expensive watch on finance, how is that anyone else's business?! If they have dependents who suffer because of it, then no, that's not alright. Otherwise, if you've earned the money you should spend it how you damn well please.

Farer and Aquastar Deepstar are my favorite micro brands I'm actually eyeing a Panerai with the El primero movement. I definitely prefer older Panerai same with Rolex actually. I definitely prefer before the maxi case sizes and pre ceramic. Even Tissot and Zodiac were so much better back in the day. Same goes for Movado now the brand is a glorified fashion watch

I’m not sure if I heard you correctly, it sounded like you said financing through PP, interest free was “stupid”? So paying high interest rates on a CC is ok? I would think the opposite.
@jonathansaraco2 жыл бұрын
No, he said going into credit card debt for a watch and paying massive amounts of interest when an interest free option is available on the website was stupid. You're agreeing with each other.
