Buying my Dream Home with Cash!

The last couple of days have been filled with happy tears, excitement, and pure joy.
Sunday was one of the most emotional days of my life as I revealed to my son for the first time that I saved up enough money to buy our dream home with cash.
I have no words to describe what I felt when I was able to see the excitement on my son's face and the tears of happiness in his eyes.
If you have been following my journey, you know about my ambitious goal to buy my forever home with cash. If you are new to The Budget Mom, know that my story did not start here.
After becoming debt free at the end of 2018, I knew that I didn't want debt to be apart of my life. It's why I run a debt free company, and why I made this life-changing decision.
I'm a true believer that your home is where you make it. That said, buying a home meant so much more to me than that.
After my divorce over 4 years ago, when I became a single mom, I had to find my strength again. I had to prove to myself that I am capable of anything, even if that meant all by myself.
After walking away from a life that I built, having a place that my son and I could make our own became priority. Not just a home, but providing a life for my son that I always envisioned. A place to make life-long memories, a place to raise my son, something that no one could ever take away from me.
I fell asleep dreaming about it. I woke up thinking about it. I fought for this goal every day for the past 4 years.
To me, it wasn't just about buying a home. It was finally my time to start over, even after 4 long years.
I know so many of you have questions. I will be releasing a more detailed video on my KZbin soon with a sit down interview about this journey and our new forever home.

Purchasing my first 2 houses in Dubai is a testament to what smart financial decisions and perseverance can achieve. People think I'm crazy when I talk about my debt free, cash only goals. I think it's crazy that I used to think I needed debt to balance out my finances so I could qualify for a mortgage. I think we all come away from your experience with different things and for me I think it is so important that you showed your son that you would and did deliver on the dream you laid out for him ! We so often make promises to our kids that we don't deliver on and that shows them that we can't be depended on when they may need us most . Okay, so I cried when I saw it the first time, but that shot of James' face when you first told him and he hugs you says it ALL!!! It truly shows how hard you worked and how you made two dreams come true!! I am beyond proud of you and so blessed to have found you because now my own dreams are on the horizon. I used to think I'd be in debt for ever. Living on credit cards and watching others 'make it' while I sat by. Now I know that I can do whatever I want because I'm in control. I can be successful. We finally decided to build because most homes on the market right now needed a lot of work. We are spending nearly 500k with no land. monica dominguez I wanted to know that too. I think I would buy a house that big if my mother and sister moved in with me. But we are a family of 4 in 3,000 sq feet and it feels just right. We used to live in a bigger house but the kids spent all their time on the other side of the house and we never saw them. Ours is single story now. It’s cozy😂
