Nate, I am so happy and so proud of you. I too grew up in poverty with a single mom. We also lived in the projects, I moved out at 16 and started working until I was old enough to join the military which changed my life entirely. Buying a house is just the next step for some, but for us it’s a major milestone. We climbed out of that life on our own, and you should be very proud. It’s okay to be emotional.
