The Black Market Organ Harvesting is a rampant trade in human organs, involving collusion between organised criminals and corrupt doctors, police and medical administration staff. We dive into the body trade and see the ways it operates and the risks involved for the desperate people at both ends of the deal, in what is an unregulated and often perilous market.
In The Business of Crime, VICE World News looks at different parts of the criminal economy, separating fact from myth. In this episode, we find out the reality of the black market body trade.

I live in California and I am friends with a nun who helps children living in an orphanage in Mexico. A 7 year old boy went missing recently (he would have been 8 at the end of the month) and they just found his body a few days ago with his organs missing. That’s why I’m here watching this video. I saw his picture, his name was Kevin and I can’t stop thinking about him and I don’t know who would do such a thing. Better to die than to have someone be killed for you. I don’t know how those people can live with themselves after killing a little boy.

Yes! I watched a film about a "doctor" who targets American tourists, kidnaps them and basically opens up the skins of the victims and disposes the body after gathering the essential limbs, to sell in the black market! The film is set in Brazil and the doctor's "practice" is located very deep in the jungle, which is required to swim under a few waterfalls, it's very secretive and remote aswell as isolated; hidden in the deep jungle, with the closest "neighbors" at least a few hours hike away!

Videos like these ground me when I'm in the doldrums. I live comfortably, have a family that loves me, a support system that wants the best for me, yet I only focus on the negative parts of my life. Depression, anxiety, ADHD, loneliness, etc are hard to deal with, but they don't require donating an organ to manage. The fact that poor and desperate people have to resort to donating their organs just to get by or settle a debt is beyond incomprehensible.

My father passed away last night at the Mayo clinic in Phoenix from kidney failure. This upload is strangely painful. It so messed up what people will do for money. Dad would have never accepted a kidney unless he could be sure it was from a person who was passing away and they could prove it. He was on a list for a while now and I was to be the caregiver and went to Mayos caregiver certification program.

A friend of my son's, was enticed by another guy, that he just met, to go down to Mexico, all expenses paid, to go surfing. Sort of a "promise," to have an adventurous vacation. So he went. Well, to make a long story short, he came back to his parents in an urn. The authorities, cremated him without explanation! Everyone that knew him, wondered why he would even go, because, of course, it sounded to good to be true, and he just met this guy once, with the enticement to get him over to Mexico. The parents are still investigating, yet without the help of the Mexican authorities, and it's ongoing! We all think that, his organs were harvested, and sold, then they abandoned his body....😥

Scarier thing… since you’re buying the kidney, guess who’s the doctor that gets to perform the surgery? YOU! If it were legal, people could still be exploited. People would blackmail or coerce someone into doing it. So although it’s more ‘regulated’, it normalises organ trading. So there could be a larger market, within that group many vulnerable people will arise & potential become exploited. Since it’s legal, if done correctly, it would be hard to get justice.

That argument could be used with anything. There will never be a shortage of people who are looking to make money selling their kidneys, and it would make sense for the sellers to go to those people instead. At the very least, it would be better than people getting kidnapped or killed, like what we have now.
@PartyCrapper
@PartyCrapper Жыл бұрын
But atleast it would then be closer to a choice. I don’t think the players in this market want this to become legal. If organ trade was legal, this would ensue a market price and avenues. It would mean more education to the public. And then, even if someone is desperate enough to do this, atleast they get a right price. Atleast they can use this to make their lives better. They may regret it later and they may have to face consequences but it would take all these nefarious middlemen out right

You aren't wrong but you aren't right either. It is probable that this is the outcome , but so is being abducted for human trafficking, as well as if somebody goes missing they could have been kidnapped and killed. It really depends on the person and the community as to what most likely happened to them. I'm not saying that you're wrong I'm just saying to say that this happens whenever somebody goes missing every time is incorrect but it does happen. Just not wanting to deal in absolutes like this when there are a lot of variables and a lot of different outcomes that are possible. Some people "go missing" and just ran away to start their life over somewhere else, as I've seen happen before in my life, and they just hated the life they were living so they left without saying a word. You're not wrong, this does happen, but it is among one of the several possible situations someone who has gone missing can be in and not an every time thing.

@Living Organics we gon see about that, we only will know it when the time will come. that‘s the scary part, only the one‘s that died experience this, but the other humans that live will not know it. even after generations till they die too.

It feels like a horrible situation to be homeless and to deal with that very sketchy stuff. I know I am homeless, but to experience that kind of sketchy behavior is real scary and I would never want to be near any of that garbage in my life

As long as there's wealthy people wanting to buy people's organs, there's gonna be a market for them, so who's to blame?

As usual, people will always blame the supplier instead of the consumer.

The supplier is literally the start of all this ...Same with Drugs even if a individual wants to consume they cannot unless a dealer is out there somewhere creating the poison for them to consume , The dealers are the ones who keep the game running same way the doctors who orchestrated this are keeping it going ... Yet the person above me says blame the sick people desperate enough to buy organs and not the supplier ...Sick
