Not fully true though many rich people came from a poor or middle class, they worked their way up there. The reason the poor and middle class always stay where they are is that they do not know how to manage money. They do not learn financial education since the school only teaches them how to work for a job. They pay their taxes, their loans, mortgages and are left with barely anything to invest. I mean if I owned 5 million dollars and literally just left this money in a tax free savings account with 2% interest I'd make $100,000 a year in interest alone. Multi millionaires can spend hundreds of thousands a year while still making a net yearly profit. The banks essentially pay millionaires hundreds of thousands of dollars just for having money in their bank. No labour required. It's absurd. 2 things we can do to fight inequality and human rights violations: 1) set an international mimimum wage that is pegged to the value of each jurisdiction's local buying power according to subsistence standards 2)Demand reparations be paid by billionaires to NGO's to be redistributed to areas with a lower human development index (whether that means lower income neighbourhoods in the west or developing countries in the global south) The market is far from politically neutral/free. We need at least a basic level of market regulation to the extent that it ensures people's basic needs are met otherwise the market will be dominated by predatory practices that exploit the vulnerable across race, status, poverty, etc.

The problem is most people don't even wanna talk about how cruel and wicked the world really is. They would rather enjoy their simple life instead of fighting for the truth. Human society is very much like the animal kingdom. Best believe there are forces who abuse, kill, trade, and use animals to make money. The same happens with human beings as well. I just wish we could live in a world where everyone has a fair shot at life. Everyone has access to food, water, and shelter of any kind. Most people don't really want a mansion, they just want enough to take care of their family. In reality, none of us actually own anything on this Earth. We just claim it and say we own it by the means of money, but really we are all guest to someone else's home.

There's a actually psychological term for people like you, where you get feelings of inadequacy you get from seeing rich people, especially those around your own age group, you can handle the feeling so you automatically create stories that paint them as bad people. If someone with enough money and power wants to do something they will simply change the law or move to a place where it is legal. It was a fun lighthearted documentary I’ll admit. I love that they made such a touchy subject so “fun”. However this felt very “Vice”. The form of mockery in describing the “New World Order” or the consistent association of “conspiracy theories” to the Qanon movement is apparent. Believing that the ultra wealthy meet in private to discuss how they will shift the world is not far-fetched anymore when you look how many things in society have changed in the last couple of years. The Qanon movement is over exaggerated and honestly over praising Trump when in reality he’s not saving any of us. This association immediately makes people look dumb and discredits ALL critical thought. These subtle associations of people who question the ultra wealthy who aren’t as nice as these Miami bachelors is the very reason there’s such a huge disconnect between those in power and those collecting food stamps. Again I give credit to the lighthearted-ness of the documentary. But there’s still a level of backhanded-ness to those who actually do the research and those who just let it go because Vice labels these people as kids with trust funds “just living their best lives”. The rawness that we would want on topics like secret societies and the Bohemian Grove will never truly be brought to light because Alex Jones is the crazy poster boy and the super wealthy own VICE lol. This will always be “color in the lines journalism” and never the truth which I hope everyone understands. Educate with a grain of salt my friends. Cheers.

Unfortunately Zeke is very confused about what an expensive home costs today. My oldest daughter just graduated from University a couple of years ago and bought her first home, with her fiance, for just under $1 million. This is just a medium sized (1800 ft²) 3 bedroom bungalow on the outskirts (1 hour drive to the city) of a medium sized city; nothing special. To compare things, my parents bought a slightly larger home home, much closer to the city center, in 1970 for less than $35k, while earning $32k per year (single income and 2 years out of university too). The reality is that today house prices have become absolutely insane. My daughter and her fiance are both engineers but their combined income is only a little over 1/10th of the price of the home they bought. It will take them a very long time to pay it off. My father on the other hand, back in 1970, was able to buy 2 new cars, fully furnish their home with new furniture, travel to Europe on vacation with the entire 4 member family every 2 to 3 years, etc. Back in the 70's prices for everything, especially expensive things, were roughly 1/10th the percentage of your income compared to today. Another example, a brand new mid sized car with AC cost $2200 on that $32,000 salary. Today for a similar class car you'd pay closer to $40,000 on a salary of under $60,000. So salaries have less than doubled or 1.8x, while car prices have gone up by 18x. One really strange fact is from 1935 until 1970 taxes on higher income earners were between 90% to 98%. Today taxes are a much smaller fraction of your income, especially for the rich. How is it possible that 35 years of high taxes took things from the great depression (when rich people, like CEOs earned 1000+x more than a worker) to 1970 where CEOs only earned 2 to 3x an average worker. Today though, with low taxes again, we are back to the rich bringing in 1000+x more again. What gives?

There's also a lynching that looks like a black guy, but could be an effigy. It'd wager that pre a certain time, their sacrifices could have been real. In Helmet Smit's autobiography he refers to it as a ruidic grove and says they have their own in Germany. I have worked in the kitchen for one summer season and have been inside the facility/property before. They keep everything a very strict secret, you cannot walk around as an employee, you are locked inside of the kitchens, you park outside of the property and are bussed in (dark tinted windows) from the parking lot to the kitchens or other work facilities. I cannot say I ever saw anything strange while I was there, but I can easily say that the vibe there being so secretive even with simple kitchen employees is uneasy and unnerving: and for those reasons I have not been back to work another summer or spring season again.

Edit: Also why isn't anyone talking about how Mary literally has an archive of information in her house. That's so cool lmfao, the amount of dedication she has to preserve information is amazing.

I liked how he wore his facemask all the time during his visit to Mary. Vice reporters are really well educated and down to earth!!

When I heard the title “Spiraling” I didn’t know how literal it would be. This story spiraled out of control😂 but it was fun to watch.

I think some smart people know Bohemian Grove was founded by some artsy theatre/movie types at a time when psycho-spiritual stuff was kinda hip among wealthy and artsy people in general. Serious stage actors are well aware that their entire art form has its roots in ancient Grecian ritual. The guy who threw the first Bohemian grove knew that and made it a large part of the entertainment side of the whole thing. Is it possible that's still how it runs today? At least in some nod-of-the-head-to-its-roots way, but way grander? And then the rest is all rich dudes getting hammered and fishing for sasquatch? Cool video! Lots of fun.

Aww! Thanks! I'm a bit of a waffler and it's super-rare to even have had my comments read at all! Never mind LIKED! This might seem weird, but please don't take it that way. I feel, kinda, honoured. Just a little. But it's, kinda, special knowing someone you've probably never even passed on a freeway found time enough not only to read what you'd chipped into a conversation but (and yes, it is just a simple, little click of a thumbs-up icon) also cared enough to indicate it in some small way. It tells me that this is a worldwide form of conversation that works! And that's cool.

Yes Bohemian Grove isn’t too crazy. Lots of recognizable people attend and it’s pretty chill. I think there are two ways to get in, be artsy or be on the waitlist
@markwarrensprawson3 жыл бұрын
@@somefishhere Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're right. And then of course there's the by-invitation way. I don't have any interest in attending that getaway, ever. Even if I wonder in front of some rich lady's car, get taken up under her wing and go on to unintentionally fool the world that I'm some kind of socio-political sage, like Peter Seller's Chance the gardener in that great old movie, I'll still probably Damian out like that kid on the way to church in "The Omen" before we even get to the gate. Last thing I want is to take a pee into a stream next to Bill Clinton or George Bush. I'm sure there are people who'd go to crazy lengths for such a chance and more power to them. May all their dreams and wishes come true. I'm just not one of 'em. Peace!
