2 things to be aware of with this truck and its options. 1) a tuner of some sort will help the sluggish feeling between 40-60. I used a hypertech. 2) don’t try to open the rear window on frosty mornings to clear the glass. The cable could snap. My dad ordered an 07 crew cab when this body style first came out. It stayed in the family for a while. It’s a nice truck.

The GM 6.0 is probably one of the best most reliable gas engines ever produced. Seen them go 400,000 miles with little to no issues. Amazing find!

As far as a v8, yes the 6.0 is awesome. But the absolute best gas engine ever produced was the 300 6 cylinder from ford. They aren’t fast. But they just last. I had people in our area that used them in late model stock cars

I worked at a GM dealership foe 4 years and drove and worked on tons of these vortec MAX trucks! They had a bit more pep in their step and sound great too. You can always "hear" a 6L truck VS the 5.3L. The 6.0 is a beast a will go many many many miles if taken care of and maintained. You got yourself a beautiful and rare truck. Hold onto that one.

I have a crew cab vortec max myself. It is by far the most fun truck to drive. The 4l70e is better than the 4l60e but is definitely no 4l80e, which is what I have in mine now. From my understanding they all had a 14 bolt with 4:10 gears. Mine is in the process of being built into a 2wd prerunner 🤙 enjoy the truck! Also when you're about to sell something you should say something to your followers so we can come buy it from you. Especially us in the rust belt.

Cool truck! I bought/rescued a super rare rust free 10 year old Georgia truck in 2017, it's a 5.7L iFORCE V8 SR5 regular cab short bed Toyota Tundra. I was able to buy it cheap because it had 290,000 miles and a few things needed to be repaired... it has 317,000 today and it's one of my favorite 'sport' trucks.

I just bought one recently and I believe it was an order truck as well. 2010 ext cab ltz 6.5 ft fully loaded leather heated and memory heats sunroof, 5.3 6l80e combo has towing package with external oil and trans cooler. And it’s carbon flash metallic

I might be in the minority when I say this but I can’t stand those early dodge body styles. Built cheap, looks cheap. Plastics fall apart, up in the rust belt they are all toast. I remember when someone in my family bought a Durango new years ago this era. The plastic moldings were falling off in a week and had to get replaced under warranty.

Coming from a guy who scored a 2008 Tundra 5.7 RCSB you found a rare one. Just watch out for that 4L70. It isn't much stronger than the 4L60. I used to own a TBSS and trashed two transmissions before 75k miles. They really don't like being beat on.

Another way to tell for sure if it’s a max is if you can see it in the pics, look at the rear axle. The VMax trucks have the 14 bolt, which is more of a lopsided square shape. The 10 bolt in most of the 1500 GM’s is round, with the protrusions on the bottom.

Dude I wouldn’t even repaint the truck any, I would just get the clear coat buffed or wet sanded then clear coat back over it. Respectfully, because that paint looks so so good and I feel like that kinda red would me a little hard to match

Beautiful truck. You should definitely swap the wheels to something that can out the power down, but none of those mall crawler wheels. You definitely scored with this, with how rare it is, your best bet would be to keep it as stock as possible, but with tasteful power mods done.

That bumper ain’t bad but I almost bought a truck the guy said the bumper was a little crooked and when I looked under near the rear frame section it was crumpled/bent from a rear collision. Glad I look and always payed attention after that.

I've got a 2013 Silverado LT crew cab. Same color leather interior. Mine was also low miles when purchased 2 years ago at 85,000. Been doing maintenance items as i go ( fluids, couple sendsors, brakes, etc). Looking forward to seeing a lot of content on this truck. Thinking of changing the plugs and wires soon.
