17:47 These actually come off pretty easily with heat. Just heat them pretty good and the glue will begin to come loose. After some heat, just use some pliers and try to gently rotate the mounts. If they don't seem to move, apply more heat, they should come off safely and not damage the windshield in any way. Be careful not to drop the hot mount in the interior, so it's nice to also protect the places where the hot mirror mount may fall on top of. I've worked in a place that replaced windshield and sometimes there was the need to remove and reglue those mounts and using this method, I have never seen a windshield break before. Nice video, as always!

Wow, seeing the current prices makes me glad I bought my GTI when I did. Got my 2015 SE w/ 102k miles from a dealer for $9400 ($10500 after taxes, fees, etc.) back in November of 2019. Only issues were that the front bumper had some damage, specifically the lower center grille and front lip; the exterior of the hood, bumper, and headlights had taken some peppering from debris, and the sunroof is cracked on the corners. Honestly though, those issues are hardly noticeable and haven't caused me any problems. Absolutely zero leaks on the sunroof like people are claiming, and it's been taken through some pretty heavy rainstorms. Maintenance has been fine as well, I should probably carbon clean it soon, though..
