I see a lot of people saying arepas aren't from Colombia. Yeah, the movie never said they originated here, but they're a great part of Colombia's gastronomy, we make all kinds of different arepas. I think Peru has Stuffed potato (they use cheese), Argentina... the only similar thing I can think of is Milanesa. Mexico has Quesadillas, And Chile... well, we just have Pan con Queso, but we have a big variety of bread. We have Barros Lucos sandwich tho, which it is homemade bread with melted cheese and steak. Btw, I've been in Colombia and I loved Arepas ♡ kudos to Colombia for that.

Nobody who is serious about the Spanish language will ever use X for Latino/Latina, it’s a white feminist invention forced onto to Hispanic/Latino culture. 🙄

I didn't wanna watch any Encanto related videos before watching and now that I finished I was so excited to watch this!! Not disappointed, they're both so bubbly and funny i love them! She probably hears this all the time but I can't get used to Stephanie Beatriz's voice knowing she was the actor for Rosa Diaz HAHAHA

We have something like this in Ecuador but instead of dough it's a thick mash potatoe pancake with green onion and bacon in it and a ball of cheese in the center, fried like these. 💕 Best served with cuy and sankocho with pleanty of yucca root and cactus leaf.

Personally what I've always done is grate the cheese and mix it with the dough and it tastes really good.
@gaf4073 жыл бұрын
Something I started trying is making a roux with butter, milk, cheese, and a bit of corn starch (kinda like what what one would do with Mac and Cheese) and mixing that cheese sauce with the harina PAN. It results in the cheese flavour being seamlessly integrated into the dough.
