For postmortem: has anyone considered the possibility that they were all having some kind of sex party? It was late at night and it would explain why he was naked, even his strange position. If one of them had some kind of interest in guns it would give context to there being previous gun shots in the floor. Plus since he was previously in a poly relationship, it would make sense that he was in an open/adventurous relationship with his current girlfriend. It would also kind of explain why he was found in a room with no windows. Perhaps there was some kind of accident with the gun and they all put their clothes back on and made up a story to tell the police. I don’t really trust anything that the media said about what had happened, including his ex talking about killing him to a priest.

Just as a lil note, if the bullet was found lodged in the ceiling it would've passed through the skull. If you compare the force of an entry wound and an exit wound, keeping in mind the bullet slows as it passes through stuff etc the exit wound has a higher level of force. This is something that is often shown incorrectly in tv series, movies, etc as they have things / people that have been shot move AWAY from the gun with the force of the bullet. Ballistic experts have tested on pig carcasses, which are the closest thing to a human, and every single time the body moves TOWARDS the gun because of the force of the exit wound. So if George Reeves had shot himself with his head on an angle, the bullet lodging in the ceiling, the force of the exit wound would have launched him forward and onto the floor.
@TheMandapanda1205 Жыл бұрын
But if you’re going away from the gun, like you said, wouldn’t it have launched him back??? I am no detective, but I made a comment kind of explaining on how I could see him launch back instead of forward: If reeves was sitting on the side of the bed, distressed and about to kill himself, he would have been hunched over on his right knee, holding the gun to his head, having his head to the side, and then when shooting, the force would have pushed him back and his hand down, more than likely dropping the gun between his legs. I’m just curious. I don’t 100% believe it was a suicide though, because he was naked and no clothes were reported on the staircase or anywhere in the room. But if it was a suicide or a suicide set up, I can see on how the bullet made it to the ceiling, knocking him back, and dropping the gun between his legs. One thing you did say was the exit wound. I don’t believe they mentioned too much about it (even though I just watched it, I’ll have to go back a little), but they did mention blood on the ceiling, mean it would have HAVE to have gone through his skull. I’m curious to see where you take this…
@byfairestblood Жыл бұрын
@@TheMandapanda1205 reread what I said. In tv shows, movies, etc gunshots always portray the person being blown back by the impact. In reality the exit wound is a greater force than the entrance wound. Ballistics tests confirm this. If there’s an exit wound then the person wouldn’t moved towards the gun. The blood on the ceiling is from an exit wound which means he should have been on the floor not the bed if it was self inflicted.
@ramonodonnell15614 ай бұрын
@@byfairestbloodhow does the exit wound have more force though? the bullet is at its highest velocity when it leaves the gun and decelerates after that point, so presumably the entry wound would have more force

Also she just kept saying "He is gonna shoot himself, he is getting his gun" seems like she is reiterating to the visitors that it is suicide and she has no hand in his death. Also, even if she knew he was gonna take his own life, why would she specifically think he was gonna use a Gun? It is like one of those suspect confessions, when suspect goes like "Moreover I don't own a 9mm German Luger" when Police never mentioned the cause of death.

I feel like the answer gets turned into this mysterious mystical thing because it could just be hard for some to understand why anybody famous would just off them self. Regular people do it everyday, so it’s not that far off to hypothesize that being famous but not having any money to show for it could have added to putting a gun to his head. Especially if the studio knew he was struggling with being an alcoholic. The fact humans can’t know what somebody else is thinking sucks because now his death is left to speculation. Who knows if it was a conspiracy or somebody who truly was suicidal. Somebody suicidal isn’t going to go and tell the whole world “ hey, I want to off myself”. Usually people open up after the thoughts have subsided and you can think clearly but nobody is going to admit something is going on, I doubt they were aware or cared about mental health in the 50-60s.

For Postmortem: Did they ever find Reeves's clothes? I don't see how he would have had enough time to be undressed if it was a hit. If Bliss ran up right after the gunshot, he would have seen the murderer removing Reeves's clothes. If it wasn't a suicide, I think that Lemmon, Bliss, and Van Ronkel have to be hiding some kind of involvement or knowledge.
@OtakuWrath3 жыл бұрын
Well you see he could have been wearing a bath robe when he went down stairs. It's also possible he removed his own clothes knowing he'd be offing himself because he didn't want his expensive clothes getting messed up. It's common for the person to feel empathy for the people they leave behind. Some lay down plastic to help with cleanup and some leave notes apologizing for the mess. It's quite common. It can also be easily made a murder as well though. They conveniently had company over specifically 2 people to give a solid alibi to the woman. The woman just happened to fire the gun a few days prier on "accident" or was it to make sure the gun would fire before they used it to murder him? He survived a car crash caused by his break fluid being drained so there was other attempts on his life? As for the body, position of the gun, casing and bullet all checks out to make it look exactly like what it was meant to look like. She said "He's gonna off himself, He's opening the drawer and he's gonna do it" or something along those lines to confuse her 2 alibis and make them go along with the story. There was definitely someone upstairs. They needed to make enough noise downstairs for George to leave the room and go downstairs so the murderer could sneak into the room with no windows and take the gun out of the drawer and wait for George to return. The gun was cleaned of ALL fingerprints not even the woman's were on it even though she had shot the gun days before. The body was cleaned quickly so no further evidence could be found which just makes it even more obvious someone cleaned up the crime for them and payed people off.

@@OtakuWrath sounds pretty damn accurate to me
@Alkis053 жыл бұрын
@@OtakuWrath How the shooting went down exactly though? How a killer end up shooting the ceiling without leaving signs of struggle. If he was concealed inside the room, the most natural thing to do would be to point and shoot, which would not leave a bullet in the ceiling. So how it happened? If it is suicide it all fits. He puts the gun 45º or so to the side of the head. Explain the bullet in the ceiling (Ryan didn't say where was the exit wound. He didn't have to tilt his head in a odd angle for the bullet end up in the ceiling, like Ryan proposed). The luger ejects the casing from the top. So if the top of the gun was pointing back, that explain how he fell over the casing. If he is seating right at the edge of the bed, that explain how the gun feel to the floor. I can't see why people think it is less likely than such complicated conspiracy.
@OtakuWrath3 жыл бұрын
@@Alkis05 Well if you have no reason to suspect someone is gonna shoot at you, you obey their commands if they have a gun pointed at you. The person with the weapon knew they wanted to make it look like a suicide so they instructed the man to do as he was told. Once in position they simply walked up to the man, held the weapon as if he was holding it himself and pulled the trigger. These were payed professionals that knew what they were doing and likely helped construct the events of the entire night before hand. Of course it could also be exactly as it looks like but there was shady stuff surrounding the event such as a previous attempt on his life which is suspicious. The person hid inside the room after the deed was done and waited for the other person to confirm the "suicide" and then when they went back downstairs the hidden murderer snuck out and left while everyone was distracted. When the police arrived they reported that the 3 were drinking alcohol, My guess would be that the woman used this as a distraction so the person upstairs could get out of the house without being seen or heard.

Regarding Lemon predicting the suicide: it's possible he'd maybe threatened to do just that when he was distressed at earlier occasions, which could be why she also didn't feel the need to follow him up when he was visibly upset. Bliss being the most responsive would also make sense, since if he hadn't interacted with Reeves before, he would have no reason to think the man was "faking" anything and was truly in danger.

Theory: The whole idea that they could hear the drawer being opened is boloney. So that leaves just one thing: the four agreed to lie about hearing the drawer, because then they could also lie about her saying "now he's gonna shoot himself". All of this to paint a picture of him killing himself and cover up the following: Reeves' girlfriend had one of her "Vesuvian" temper tantrums, pulled out the gun and threatened to shoot Reeves, or maybe she threatened to shoot herself. They fought over the gun, shots went into the floor, and then the last went through Reeves' head by accident. This also explains why she left and never returned to L.A. P.S. Even if they did hear a scraping, squeeling, or other noise, why would they think of a dresser drawer? 3. If the guests were accurate in identifying the sound as a drawer in Reeve's bedroom, they would all have to know the upstairs layout (direction sound came from) and what noise a specific piece of furniture in his bedroom would make. Do you believe that the view of mental health in that time period, mixed with Reeves' fame as Superman, changed the way the case was dealt with and viewed by the public? You guys are great, crack me up! But here’s what happened.. They were ALL IN on the murder.. She turned on the lights to signal the others in.. After he was killed in bed by gunshot to the temple, they repositioned his body. George never woke up to the people coming over, the people came over ready to protect and cover for HER.. That’s why they were drinking.. To ease their nerves when lying. Lol. 💯

I find it curious they head the drawer opening. That, to me, says that this was murder. Guilty people tend to get VERY specific about little details (usually it's time). Even if the drawer is super squeaky, they probably shouldn't have been able to hear it, especially if they're talking (which they were, because Lemmon was making all those "jokes"). But what this means is that the opening of the drawer is important for some reason. They included that detail over and over for some perculiar reason. I don't think Eddie and Toni had anything to do with it, exactly. Because that would mean that the other four people in the house were in on it as well, as well as at least one other person. There was no way they weren't involved if it was a murder.. Do I think they were behind the "accidents"? Yes, that's possible. It's also possible Lemmon was. I think Lemmon did it. Her turning on the porch light that late at night is weird, the insistence on talking about the drawer of all things is weird, her jokes are weird, her letting in people that late is weird, the fact none of them thought her jokes were unsettling is weird, the fact the one person who didn't know him ran to check on him is weird... Everything was weird.

This is what I was thinking, if they were drinking and hanging out how would they hear a drawer opening upstairs
@PumpkinPieDoll3 жыл бұрын
I thought of it as one of those awkward moments were y'all waiting for the "awkward" to pass and it seems like everything is "interesting" or sumn. You lay more attention in those moments so I think it's not weird they heard the drawer. But ur last paragraph is quite convincing
@BladedHorizon3 жыл бұрын
My mom thought the same thing. She even said that how would they hear it if he was upstairs and they were downstairs and why would they listen closely to him? I personally think it could be murder or suicide, but Im putting my money on murder.

@@BladedHorizon Even while hanging out, there are momentary “lulls” of conversation where everyone is quiet. If George was really angry and surprised the guests, maybe they were quiet to avoid annoying him and were waiting for him to go upstairs? That’s my guess

I just can't get over the angle his head would have to be in to also hit the ceiling. Like that doesn't just happen and a hit to the head is a tough shot so Lemmon shooting him like that in a rage feels weird.

I feel like that fact that his girlfriend sat there and said " He is going to shoot himself", would be very suspicious to anyone there, unless they were in on it. She probably turned on the outdoor light to signal someone to come do the deed. Just my theory.
