To put this into reference for non-NBA watchers, the highest vertical leap at the combine is around 48 inches, which is for guys who regularly work on their vertical and play basketball nearly every day for hours on end, and even those are standouts. Former MVP James Harden's vertical was recorded at 37 inches, so in 2 months he got an MVP's vertical, I can only imagine 2 more.

Exactly, this is an absolutely insane transformation. Jumping high requires strong legs and good mechanics+bouncy tendons. Definitely wasn't a legit dunk. If you play it in slow-mo, I don't think he even touched the ball.

You don't need no NBA training or coach. I am 16 years old and 5'8" and recently got my first dunks. I just want to motivate you, all it takes is dedication and commitment (and the genetics somehow 😉).

Because you was training your jump in your puberty. Any training that you do in your puberty is 5 times more effective than the same training as adult. My friend is 15 and he can dunk on 10 ft , even though he wasn't directly training for that, he just was always jumping and playing ball active in his grown sprut. And he is white, so it is not a "genetics"
@ogposer3 жыл бұрын
I remember how when I was 15 someone embarassed me like "you don't even have a six pack". After that I started train my press with a programm that my friend adviced me. I got a six pack in like a month of intense training. Now I have a craziest press muscles of all dudes that around me, and everybody ask me "where you get these muscles"

Good stuff, when i was alot younger i could dunk easy off a drop step, at 6ft4. Recently i was messing around at work with my crew and i went for a dunk wearing steel toe work boots. I actually did it, and it was a hard dunk too. Im 6ft5 now and ill be 45 this year. But i felt that dunk for about 2 days, man i was so sore. Getting older sucks.

Slow and steady wins the race. Dunk on 7ft for a month. Then do 8 ft until you master it. Than you do 9ft till you master it. And then you get up to 10ft.
