I grew up in Brampton. (Is it bad that I recognize just about every location in that video?) Interestingly, the demographic shift mostly began when I was in elementary school. I wouldn't trade that for the world! I've loved being able to shop at Indian grocery stores and I've enjoyed learning about Indian culture as a whole. I'm white and was always taught to be loving and accepting to all people; I think growing up as a cultural minority in my city helped me to avoid developing that "white people are the default" mindset.
