Thats a great help thanks for your efforts. My 2003 seat toledo rear door just has one winder mech weras yours has two. I couldnt find out anywhere how to attach the two cables so winodw goes up and down. Your video at 6:30 shows quite clearly what everyone else has missed, and the explanation about keeping cables titght too. Well done that man. The world would be lost without those who stand up to be counted. I have a 1001 video tips I have been menaing to create for a decade but faint hearts won nothing. One day hmmm lol cheers.

Thank you very much for such informative video. Got a question about rivnuts/Knurled Head do you not get water leak inside the car leaking between door frame and window regulator then behind the door card ? As the seal behind the regulator won't be firm against the door frame !! As from experience using the pop rivets from hardware store not the recommended by skoda. Started to leak water as the seal wasn't sitting firmly. Once again thank you. I'll be looking forward for a reply.

The rivnet solution seems to have worked well, it allows the panel to be tightened sufficiently to compress the seal. I cannot comment on using the Skoda rivets as this is the only one that I've done on a mark 2 Octavia. That said, I have just had to do my mark 3 Octavia which has a slightly different arrangement.
