This is a wonderful video. One of my favorite fishing videos of all time. Guys catching dinks and then getting into quality fish, but you can tell that was really the point. Beautifully shot and edited. Wow. Wish I could give it a hundred likes.

What was the date of your trip. Next trip go June 1st and do topwater right next to shore. There are 13 ways a smallmouth can hit a topwater lure

Topwater bass fishing can be great up there. Early June they are spawning right next to shore. Next trip bring a half dozen Rebel teeny pop R lures and grind down the barbs for easy release. Maybe from your thumb

I’m going second week of June. Will be my first trip to boundary waters. Have Ned rigs, plenty of plastics and lures. Also gonna pick up lots of leeches. Any tips are welcome. Gonna be fishing Disappointment and other lakes near it.

Fishing wise? Med light set ups. Braid for trolling raps. Mono for jigging 1/8 or 1/4oz with plastic and leech. Asst colors til something works.

Loved your video. Nice job with the photography and you definitely deserve more subscribers. I’m just curious how you managed your leeches and what you used to contain them while in the canoe.
@AnglingUploaded Жыл бұрын
Thanks David! We bring the leeches in pumped with air packed on the frozen steaks we eat on night 1. After we arrive they get moved to a leech bag and kept in the lake water. They do great the whole trip. We bring a pound, sometimes 2. Any plastic jar with a screw lid works for day use. We use powdered gatorade jars. Just keep the water fresh. They last all day and then some.

hi there... i'm going up there this summer. Live in San Diego. What lures/bait do you recommend for walleye?
@AnglingUploaded Жыл бұрын
Big question! We bring in leeches and fish them with jigheads. Scented plastics are also effective. Trolling with spoons and raps great for pike and eyes. Smallies hit on all of it. Depends on your target. walleyes the best meal up there.

Still cringing Fish handling. I did not like it. needs to be better. Those fish are out of the water too long! the delayed hooking mortality is high when out of water so long. Why do it?. Especially when they are dropped 3 feet and hit the bottom of the canoe. Those injuries sustained are not reversible. The sunfish near the end is just really really hard to watch.
