Unfortunately, the Horseshoe Tavern's lights were not on her, so she was mostly in shade. Luckily, the other three, incredibly including Sam on drums, were well lit.😉🙂

@@KenthGustafsson300 There's a big post-punk psych-rock scene in the West End of Toronto.😉 With bands like Kali Horse, Bad Waitress, Possum, Hot Garbage, Mother Tongues, Animatist, Your Grandad, New Fries, Luge, Gloin, Wine Lips, The Effens, etc., etc.....😉

Great to see that Shermy and Nicole are smiling and having fun while on stage. In most videos they looks like they are concentrating too much and forget to smile. I know that it is difficult to smile while being on the stage.

When Shermy first conceived the idea of the group the fembot thing was still around so they added that to their canon which you see in those videos. But Austin Powers is a bit old hat now and since they returned after the pandemic it seems that they've toned it down and I'd expect their show to evolve more in the future.

Took a break between bands and lost my place at the front. I'm not trying to create video masterpieces, just enjoying the show while trying not to interfere with anyone else's enjoyment of it. The videos I record and post are just little mementos of the event, for myself, and for any others who might be interested. Feel free to make your own much better videos and post them. I would check them out for sure.

Well, the last Surfrajettes video got a lot of views and positive comments very quickly, so I thought I'd post another video of them ftom the same night. Out of more than a thousand KZbin videos I've posted, only Jeff Beck and The Surfrajettes have two videos or more with over 1000 views; and the Jeff Beck views are most likely partly due to Jonny Depp being on the tour.😉

@@acidgroove101 Their viewing figures are astounding. Toxic's top on 6.6 million, then comes Norm's and Too Much To Surf Last Night each on 3 million or so. But there's loads more with high figures and they get watched more than big name acts. If only they could convert those figures into record sales. Someone's going to point out that Thriller's been seen zillions of times but The Surfrajettes are part timers. It can't just be the obvious factors.

@@chrisst8922 No such thing as "record sales" these days; vinyl enthusiasts are a small percentage of the population, and they mostly go for obscure gems over wildly popular pop rock. The rest of us can stream from licenced sources. If bands are really lucky, they can make a bit of money on touring and merch sales...

@@bshingledecker It didn't really mar my first time seeing him. I picked it as my "Show of the Year".🙇🏻‍♂️🔥😎😉 Jeff was in spectacular form, and the band was great!🎸🐐 Jonny was low key; he came on to no fanfare 11 songs into the show, and he didn't say anything, just played and sang, and Jeff seemed to be having the time of his life. Strange that you commented here, instead of on one of my Jeff Beck videos... not that it matters... Jeff and Jimi are the best electric guitarists of all time, and Jeff is unbelievably always getting better.😮

Yes, although she isn't on the album, Sam from Kali Horse seems to be their regular drummer, and she is in all of their recent promotional photos, She has drummed with them before, years ago.

I grew up in Oshawa, so I have a double interest in the Surfrajettes: they're "local" and they're Women-Who-Rock! If you're interested at all, a couple of my other fave bands are Sweeden's Sahara Hotnights - who also have a powerhouse drummer and Capetown's the SoapGirls. Fair warning about the SoapGirls, they'll seem like underdressed bimbos on first viewing but they have more real substances than ten other bands put together. Get to know tham!
