Ana Betancourt Torres Yes, that’s what a job is supposed to do, you get paid. But, he didn’t recognize anybody else’s hard work and effort put into the channel. HE said that HE did the best for the channel, HE said that HE is the only one who worked hard, HE said that HE did the majority of the work, and when Stephen tried to make his hard work recognized, Daniel denied his claims and said that he did the least amount of work, even though Stephen was the most hard working person on the channel besides Hosuh. Stephen made up his own character to put on, Stephen put his full comedic talent into Danplan, sometimes Stephen said things that he’d regret the next day, all for the sake of our enjoyment. And Daniel refused to let anyone else share the spotlight with him. It still infuriates me today.

Daniel insisted to pay him, even a little amount like 25 dollars. Stephen only decided he wants to be paid when the channel blew up. After a fight, Daniel and Stephen agreed on a payment of (i think) 100 dollars per recording, and not to continue with what happened. Stephen broke that promise after making the video called "Leaving DanPlan". Also, everyone (Hosuh and the Animators) were being paid fairly. The animators were contracted, meaning Daniel paid a set amount for an animation. So no, Daniel is not the bad guy here. Stephen wanted to be paid more after finding out that (full time) people were being paid a decent amount while he (a part time person who originally didnt want to get paid) was getting a much smaller cut. In fact, Daniel did all the financing for DanPlan, he hired the animators and (I'm fairly sure) he edited all the videos. All Stephen did is provide his voice from a recording that took 1 or 2 hours.

First, you don't have to be subconscious; just as you pointed out, you can't judge people based on what they look like; it's the personality that counts. And honestly, I found this channel a mere month or so ago, (accidentally nearly binged all of it while trying to pace myself), and I'm already inspired by your kind attitude and genuine concern for others. But-- No, don't let them pressure you to do a face reveal. I know some content creators (who are so loved like you guys are) have a bit of a life-curve-ball once they do face reveals. People start recognizing them in their daily lives. There's a pressure even going shopping for ice cream, not knowing who will recognize you and how you'll deal with it. Plus, when someone meets you face to face, it isn't as much about the content, the creativity, the love and laughs anymore; they want to know about you as a person. Yes, that's somewhat nice and polite, but your passion is not you yourself, or attention. Your passion is about the content you hope will make people smile. Leaving my actual content out of the conversation, I can relate in this way. Whenever I'm recognized, people only go on about my age or how I made what I did, whether they think I'm cute or not, or if I'm seeing anybody. Fair questions, but my heart aches to know what they thought of my work, if it made them happy, if it coaxed tears ever, if they were inspired. That kind of freedom to converse about the real heart of the matter... really comes from anonymity. That's when people focus on the content, and not the creator. And that comes with all kinds of safety, happiness, and encouragement. And the same sentiment for Stephen-- but lets be real, he's not persuaded by ANYONE. He'll never do it out of spite. I really don't ask for likes, so if there's any other way you fellow viewers know how to get this to Hosuh, could someone do that? Because I'm seeing a BUNCH of comments pressuring him. Don't pressures someone shy who wants to stay anonymous; one day you might talk him into something he doesn't really want. Let's support him instead!!
