The 15.6" infotainment screen has to be the best feature of BYD as it controls everything from turning on aircon and ventilation seats and even programming everything in the car 😮😮😮 Truely, EVs have a lot of features to offer compared to petrol cars. A new age of vehicles is coming. Thank you for the ride and experience Sir Colin ❤❤❤

I'm not really into cars but I appreciate your gesture Sir Colin for giving us the glimpse and the feeling of driving an electric vehicle. Surely a shift from petrol car to electric vehicle. This is definitely the future we are heading to.

I've heard a lot about BYD here in the Philippines, a chinese company for electric vehicles that could compete with Tesla. In fact, BYD is on track to beating Tesla in terms of sales of electric vehicles this 2024. This video gives me an insight on what it's like to drive and EV and why the car owners are slowly migrating to electric vehicles.

Awesome video; I've seen this BYD before on a Facebook post. This is the car company that surpasses Tesla as the best-selling vehicle. 😲

That was a great 1st video. You covered the EV quite well, in line with what other EV reviewers are saying about this car. When it comes to EV's, the Chinese have already surpassed their rivals - they just don't know it yet😂

You missed a very crucial point of Seal EV ( for that matter most of BYD and other EV) - which is V2L - The car can run a heavy load like electric kettle ( of course laptops , compressor , tools,) etc. I use mine regularly to run a normal vacuum cleaner to clean the car and Kracher pump when washing the car
@LearnsMarketing18 күн бұрын
@AnilGhatikar, this car can do that? Oh my! Thanks for enlightening! I need to find the cable to do so!

Great to know that the ICE system is legit enough and I don't need to transfer my 3 way speaker system from my existing car should I choose the Seal. Saves a ton of money which I would have to pay to ICE installer too😂😂
@LearnsMarketing19 күн бұрын
Yah @Simon4rings, the Seal is heavy enough... and installing another 100-200kgs of ICE would be detrimental to range as well. 😅

Im in the market for a used 'upmarket' car. I dont fancy EVs but boy, this byd seal makes the decision nearly impossible. So much value. A used 330i, A5, C200 with under 50,000kms or a brand new BYD Seal for similar money
@LearnsMarketing17 күн бұрын
This is my 2 cents having owned lots of contis before... If this "upmarket" car is going to be your first upmarket conti, then probably the you should not go for the BYD. An EV is a totally different car which requires a different lifestyle to own... I'm not talking about an atas lifestyle, but there will be changes to how you drive the car, where you park, and how often you need to charge, as compared to petrol cars which is a lot more convenient in terms of topping up petrol. Among the 3 you've listed, I would seriously dissuade you from the BMW, bcoz come the 5th year, your maintenance and repair costs will be a headache. For instance, my 730i, at 7yo, cost me in excess of $20k for the fixes of oil leaks, electronic failures, suspension issues and so on. And A5, if it's a 2.0L TSI, then it's safe... If it's the 1.4L version, I would advice to avoid, bcoz the dry clutch DSG is going to be problematic. My 2.0L TSI in the Eos in the past was a dream to drive, but I was topping 1L of engine oil almost every month bcoz there was an undetectable leak somewhere. My friend's 1.4L Srirocco was hospitalised dunno how many times then. I owned 2 Mercs before, a 1.6T CLA and a 2.0T GLC Coupe... both there relatively trouble free until their 7th year, when the oil leak issues started appearing. Now of course my BYD is brand new, so I dunno what problem will it give... but with 6 years warranty for the car, and 8 for the battery, I think i have a bit more peace of mind. So if badge value is important to you, then go for the Merc (not the other 2). Then again, a C-class is not really considered "upmarket" today since everywhere you can see Mercs. But if you want a potentially less problematic car, and you're not particular that you'll be driving a chinese car, then the Seal is a great choice. 😉

After driving BYD ATTO 3 for 13 months and frustrated with having to visit the BYD service centre for 5 times to resolve the persistent “Check SRS System” warning message, I decided to trade in my BYD ATTO 3 (CAT B) to BYD Seal (CAT B). However, to my shocking, BYD only offer the trade-in price of $132K. So, there is a very poor resale value for my ATTO 3. At that time, Tesla just released the new Model 3 Highland and to my surprise Tesla offered me $155K for my ATTO 3 which is $23K higher than that offered by BYD. So, I am happy to take up the offer and give Tesla a trial. After driving for 11 months, my family is very happy with Tesla, and I look forward to buying new Tesla Model Y Juniper as my second EV. Tesla EV 👍👏💪🇸🇬
