This will sell in absolutely enormous numbers. It's the perfect super-mini family crossover with enough space range and premium touches. It could outsell the VW golf on T-Roc in a few years.

The Chinese spent years buying international brand cars at big premium, while the domestic ones remained bottom feeders. In time the cheap cars improved so much, to the point that international competitors selling for way more began to look silly. Nothing lucky here, it's more of decades of dedication and a huge market that enables even the most humble offerings to flourish and grow.

@@theolich4384 NS, this is EV, only china has EV technology , not the international brand, the car is low price in china is because the high technology and low manufacture cost , the high technology can achieve the mass scale and high efficiency of manufacture, and high technology for material also brought down the price for material cost, high efficency of manangement and turn around time also bring down the cost, all these do not exist outside china, also everything is over priced in US and EU, thats another reason,

Therefore, they would not allow this to happen. To be honest, even as a Chinese person, I think it's reasonable for the U.S. to impose some restrictions on Chinese cars. Otherwise, the American automotive industry would be completely destroyed, and that’s an unbearable cost. After all, the U.S. is not like Australia, which has no automotive industry of its own and can afford to completely open its market

This is why your govt has began Media campaign against Chinese cars and is working at governmental levels to put sanctions on them. A very typical American character, if you can't compete, destroyed them.

As a happy owner of the Yuan Plus in white, I personally prefer its exterior design, and I also think its interior is pretty cool and unique. Any other interior looks the same to me.

I really like the interior. I prefer the interior design of Chinese made vehicles compared with the vehicles that are available here in Canada. The vehicles here are mostly bland, and without character.

I'd love to see one of these in person. I think it looks great, not too sure about the body colour inserts. I really like the interior, except I'd never keep those light surfaces clean enough where I live. If that comes to Australia for $31-34k, it would sell so well. I think the waiting lists would be what would end up putting people off. Bring it here.

How do the prices compare to the Dolphin? Could be interesting to see how it's priced if it comes to Australia. I can see it doing well in the export market, but VW may have an issue with BYD using the UP branding, so I'd suspect it'd be branded as Atto 2 or Dolphin Plus or something similar.

Don’t know anything about the availability of this or the Seagull in Nepal, sorry, but I doubt this will be called the Atto 2 when it goes abroad. BYD seems to be changing course in their global naming structure, so it might just be called the Yuan UP.

Its quite good looking, practical mid crossover - great for the family. I like it more than all the EV sedans as I prefer tall cars - the comfort of seating is much better! The price is so great!! The esthetics is really ok - BETTER than Tesla😏 Charging up - barely acceptable. My real complaint is range: 400 km looks not enough.

man I love this car, I would add it to my perfect car to have list, good price and got everything I need and want, even the design is so perfect for my taste. The interior of the atto 3 and the seagull are so repulsive, especially the dash boards that I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ONE.. BYD should take a good hard look at their interior design, of the 4 owners of atto 3 I've talked to bought their cars in spite of the dash boards. An international interior design would be a good start. The interior of this car is indeed less contentious, I could live with this.
