BYE BYE GT2 RS, It's DONE!

It's time to say farewell to the Porsche GT2 RS! That can only mean the last leg of the 2022 ‪@Gumball3000‬ Middle East with the most checkpoints ever in an action packed day towards the finish line at the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix. What an adventure, what a drive, what a car!
Setting off from Ras Al Khaimah, our first stop in Sharjah brings out the tyre shredding action before we're onwards to a Royal Stables in Dubai. After being treated to a dressage demo, it's over to the Dubai Autodrome for some track action and a parade lap joined by Supercars Majlis. Lastly, the final stretch of the 23rd Gumball 3000 supercar rally is onwards to Abu Dhabi and specifically to Yas Marina, in time for the final race of the Formula 1 season calendar.
We've been driving again as Team 150, with the Manhart TR900, a 945hp Porsche GT2 RS, but sadly it's now time to hand back over the keys following the end of the rally. Over the last week the car has been a ridiculous machine to get around with, and thankfully the scare at the start was only a scare, with all being returned in one piece - although it's shocking to think how quickly that could have changed if it wasn't for quick thinking.
This Gumball 3000 has been completely different to previous rallies in Europe and North America, but quite the experience from the 3 days we've joined of the 6. While I was unable to make it to the long legs across Oman, it's still been unforgettable and awesome to be a part of. Thanks to Gumball 3000 and everybody involved!

It’s crazy that in the last year Tim has driven this Track in AMG Black Series. Done the Gumball from Toronto to Miami. Did the U.S.A. tour in the Black Series. Is back doing Gumball in Dubai / Abu Dhabi. Driving on the same track he drove the Black Series and that the black series is in Utah U.S.A. And of course all the things in between. Picked up the Zenvo. Finished the Clio. Sold a few cars, purchased a few more cars. Tim is seriously moving around the world doing the most EPIC stuff just 1 after the other. Day in and day out. I don’t know where he gets the energy to do so many things all over the world. Gotta really hand it to him, I woulda tapped out a long time ago..

Could you briefly touch on what it was like to daily the GT2 RS for all those miles? I doubt anyone can speak on how rough or maybe not the ride was? I know many of us would like a debriefing maybe in a future video?!

I can tell you this much. I dailyed a GT2RS for a while. To put it kindly, it was tough. I’m hoping they built that car a little more comfortable. But a stock GT2RS isn’t a great daily. Although it’s 1 of the all time best cars ever made… A new 911 Turbo S is the way to go imo..

i don't know if the Gumball has changed over the years, the people who do it have changed or it's just the content Tim chooses to show but the Gumball feels so different from all the shows we used to get about it back in the early 2000's it feels like back then it was always showing off these crazy guys doing it, racing to get the best times, massive parties every night, getting stopped by police etc.. .etc.. but with the vids from Tim it all seems really "civilized" and restrained i guess for lack of a better term. This isn't anything against Tim or the vids, they're great, it's just if i could go back in time and show myself one of the modern Gumball vids i'd never think it was the same thing as what i used to watch vids of.
