I started at 602 and got down to 102!! I did have trouble deleting by hitting the delete key. But, used dropdown menu at the top and that worked well. Love this!

Anyway, This is a very useful tip I have used in the past but now my deleted emails keep coming back within seconds on my macbook pro. There must be a setting I can fix....any suggestions? Works as described however if you quit your mail box the smart mailbox goes away. You have to recreate the smart mailbox with conditions each time.

This certainty got my attention. I had no idea I had 19,572 in my box 😮 I don’t know why smart mail only brought up about 1200 most of which I deleted, but after sorting by “from” I found many many ads that were not pulled in, and I didn’t realize were there. I couldn’t finish, but so far I’m down 6,880.

Clarifying my previous comment: I was thrilled with the second tip which changes the page format to columns. I was not able to find the "smart mailbox" option on my Yahoo (for Apple) menu at all.

All emails have a link to unsubscribe even emails you want so all emails end up in the Smart Folder?

Good video, but I want to know if there is a way to have apple mail app iOS to take anything that hits the junk folder and mark it as read and delete it automatically without notifying me of junk mail, I don’t want to see it or handle it in anyway, is there a way to do that?

I think what is a bit frustrating is that about since you moved to the lower desert, all of your videos have been going to junk mail as well as other messages which I want to read. I have the junk mail setting turned off but messages still go to the junk email folder. Is there a way where I can choose what goes to junk mail and what does not? And we are always unsubscribing to different email messages which we do not want...so I mail is pretty clean. Thank bunches and I am glad I noticed your messages were not coming through.

To my knowledge the smart mailbox feature is only available on desktop mail applications, but there are so many out there these days that it wouldn’t surprise me if there is a 3rd party solution out there.
