Grieving today. This lad has no ceiling and his attitude has been first class. He kick started our season and was arguably our most important player the first year back in the Prem when we stayed up. Will watch his career with great interest. The classiest midfielder I’ve seen at Villa Park. UTV

Cracking player with questionable hair styles over the years but loved his personality shining through. When he did the corner flag pose against palace my lad had been mascot that day and he had a photo taken doing the same pose prior to KO so that's very special memory in our mad Villa household. Thanks Dougie for the memories and effort kid and good luck.

On balance, we have seen the best performances of his career so far and also some really poor ones where we really needed him to step up and take control but he went missing (like a lot did) But im going to choose to remember the calmness from the penalty spot and the curlers from the corners, THAT pass to Ollie, the little reeling them in celebration, not forgetting the little shoulder shimmy 😂 He's given us some great memories over the last few years and he'll get a fantastic reception when that champions league music starts playing on his return. Thank you Dougie, all the best. Time to change my screensaver!! UTV

After he got back from his suspension, it felt like he was on a farewell tour. he was thanking Villa for giving him the opportunity, talking about how he loved Birmingham and the club - it felt like "goodbye." Hindsight is 20/20, but I believe we wouldn't be where we are now if Grealish hadn't left. In a couple of years, perhaps we'll be saying the same thing about Dougie's departure. UTV

Was much weaker after the Kamara injury and I think Tielemans is a better player for us and suits us better (not as reliant on Kamara being fit!!!) but I'm grateful for all he did to get us in the Champions League and now for the fee we were able to fetch to solve our PSR problems and help us kick on. Really shit that we’ve had to do this for PSR, how are we meant to compete with the sky 6, it’s a joke! BUT in Emery we trust and onwards and upwards! Also, it seems as though, us, Everton, Chelsea and Newcastle seem to have an alliance to try and get around PSR… would love to hear your thoughts on that! UTV

Sorry to see him go & a shame this where we are with PSR. If indeed there has been a deal on the table for the last few months which he's decided not to take then, overall I'm quite happy with the deal. Seemingly getting two younger players with a high ceiling. Personally speaking I think we've lost better players than Luiz while in worse positions as a club. While large part of 23/24 season he was outstanding he also went missing for a long period end of the season. End of 22/23 season again very good & in project restart he was very good. But he's almost had large amounts of time out the team & even while in he's gone missing. Sorry to see him go but I'm not loosing any sleep over it....not like when Bosnich left when I was a kid 😂

Douglas Luiz has been fantastic. But........I think he wanted to leave and Juventus are Juventus. We have got £££, and two very exciting young players who I'm confident will improve the Squad, and I think one of these two will be epic very quickly. Now that's what's important for me as we get bigger, Squad strength. If we want to stay a top 4 team, compete in Europe , and in domestic cups we MUST have a deep squad, a squad that sees players in and out with NO drop in performance. This kind of deal does that for me. I have feeling that Enzo, Ian and Samuel will all be good players for Villa and at least one will be top within 6 months.
