Q.1 factors and conditions favourable for land deforestation and desertification are - excessive use of pesticides and fertilizers in the agricultural land - excessive domestic animals grazing on a particular land for a long period of time - natural calamities like floods and cyclones in particularly coastal areas - uncertainty in weather for a long period of time Solution to reverse the land quality - awareness among the farmers for optimum use of chemicals and pesticides in land - proper irrigation facility to agricultural land during cultivation - Restrictions on continuous grazing on a particular land by introducing policies or practices Bonn challenge- India has accepted global Bonn challenge in Paris convention to improve land quality of deserted and degraded lands. It targets for 5mn hector within 2020 and more 8mn hector of lands before 2030 for improvise land condition. It has been marked that it is highest quantity among the all Asian countries that have considered yet. This challenge will definitely increase agricultural production and also increase productivity of agricultural lands.

Degradation and desertification This can be cause by -Deforestration -use of fertilizers and pesticides - high content of salinity in soil -over grazing -water logging -soil erosion -high rate of soil erosion is caused by deforestation and unsustainable agricultural practices. -this would increase significance if weather conditions like floods and droughts -as a result quality of soil reduces and results in soil degradation Steps taken you fight against degradation -the union minster for environmental forests has announced that india will rejuvenate 5 million hectares of land. -it would restore the degraded land will try to make it fit. -india will host the 14th conference of parties which will help in restoration -India has promised the Bonn challenge to rejuvenate 5 million hectares. -india joined this challenge in 2015 climate change condition convension paris. paris. -India set a target by 2020 to restore 13 million hectares. -govt designed schemes which help In fighting degradation like pradan mantri fasal bheema yojna,soil health card scheme

Give me clarification about the Grizzled Gaint Squrrilas. In the explanation, you said there were located around the western ghats and in the 1st question, the provided answer was Tamil Nadu. According to the explanation, the Grizzled Gaint Squrrilas were located in the Western Ghats and recently found in Tamil Nadu. Correct me, if i'm wrong.

I fail to understand as to how PM ujjwala yojana not help in reducing the usage of fossil fuels .. I thought it does tacitly help reduce women's dependency on fossil fuels through the promotion of LPG use ... Somebody please help in clarifying ! Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

Fosile fuel is nothing but crude oil and natural gases( which are methane ethane propane butane gases) . Lpg gases are made up of nature gas which we usually dig the earth inside and obtain... Lpg main contains 80prct of propane and butane Hence even though women strtd to lpg would not hlp in dependency ..actually it increases its demand of our gvrmnt.. Main moto of this scheme was to make the fam. To use gases instead of woods and charcoals...
