I am hoping that this will work for my 2010 wrangler! I have the same problem as you.. bought it with the one key (identical to the one you have) and I need a new key because the teeth are wore right out so I’ll see if I can’t get this same idea to work!

If the original one is too worn for a hardware store or whatever to duplicate, I think you should be able to get the dealer to cut you a key by the vin number as long as it hasn't been changed. Just tell them you need a regular non chip key to open the door. Just make sure the duplicated key works by holding the original near the sensor when trying it before you extract the rfid chip. I did this in the summer and it is still working perfect now

I have only one key to my Voyager. I bought new ignition lock cylinder with two keys. I tried to replace old cylinder but ofcourse new parts did not work because of no chip. This is good video. I gonna make same bypass and will have two working keys to ignition. Old key is so bad that comes out every position..you know. Even car is running. 😬

@@juliogonzo2718 yeees. It was good tip, thanks. Actually i was lazy and superglued old key only behind the steering column plastics with that ”sensor ring, immobilizer”.

I have an 07 dodge caliber sxt I lost the key so I busted out the ignition switch out but no start how can I get it to start

Yeah without the chip you probably are going to have to take it to the dealer or maybe see if a locksmith can program it for a new chip key
