Maybe if you piped out a long strand of the potato mixture with a piping bag and a round nozzle you could then cut the strand into individual tater tots with a knife? I dunno if that would work, but could be a time saver.

I don't get the point of salting the potatoes and then skinning them. Why not just salt the flaked potato?
@claireiskewl9 жыл бұрын
My guess is that it adds a deeper salt flavour to the potato
@ByronTalbott9 жыл бұрын
Elamdri Believe it or not, the salt actually pulls moisture from the skin/meat of the potato and yields a really fluffy/dry interior. If the interior (meat) of the potato has a lot of moisture after it's done baking it can affect the results of the given recipe... Just food for thought.
@gloriinher40s9 жыл бұрын
ByronTalbott Thank you for explaining that! It's one of those random things I've always wondered but never bothered to look up or ask lol.
@ThereseMarieCordero9 жыл бұрын
Basically what he explained has a scientific explanation, its called osmosis. As the salt concentration increases in its environment, the potato will release more water to compensate the high solute concentration.
