Congratulations. Love the van. Just a suggestion. High cupboards for clothes, bedding, soft stuff. Low cupboards for heavy, tins, tech stuff. You will drive off with a top cupboard unlocked at some point. T shirts, undies and blankets on the floor are a lot less messy and damaging.

Hi James, with reference to having your daughter with you and zHelen, is it not possible to look into the feasabilty for having a seatbelt fitted somwhere on the long seats, preferably at the back of the shower, where there would be some support. Take care. Barrie.

Ey up James, as fellow happy Consort Reef owners (since early 2020) we love our van too. We have found that it isn’t necessary to split the back seat cushion when making the bed up, we just pull the base cushion out enough to drop the rear cushion vertically behind it (whole). It works for us. Hope I’ve explained it ok. Wife agrees about tall wine glasses being an accident waiting to happen, we just use small tumbler glasses. Packing cubes are a great idea for rolled up clothes. Love the channel.

Another heads up? Heavy stuff at floor level and lightweight stuff higher up, you don't want to be pulling the cupboards off the wall because the stuff in the cupboards is to heavy.

If you buy a mattress topper and enclose it in a king-size duvet cover perfect to pull out and flop down as your bottom sheet/mattress. Use bungees to hold it together when rolled up and it takes up less space.

Another heads up, this might sound counter intuitive, but keep you hot water on the hottest setting? When you have a shower then the hotter the water the more cold you will have to use, this you will actually use less hot water which means it doesn't have to heat up as long to be ready for the next person.

The containers you bought to go in the medicine cabinet will fit perfectly onto the shelf underneath the medicine cabinet. I love this van, it's brilliant and far better than the caravan I loved in as a teenager 😃

Love your new van James, I would put some dehumidifiers around the van, they also make some that hang in your wardrobe all available on flea bay, you'll be surprised how much moisture you get.

I just paused my new bedroom tv where I’m watching this. Because it doesn’t let me comment on the tv. There are half shelves inserts you can buy for the cabinets or make yourself if you’re handy to-divide top and bottom. Might help you organize when you put your stuff in. Maybe give your daughter her own cubby. Maybe every now and again put a little surprise in her cubby. I have two daughters and they would love that. A doll, an edible treat, a letter from you, a popular age appropriate book, a new diary, jewelry, stickers, a photo of you and her. Girls love that especially from dads. Heh you could do the same for Helen too. Your van is gorgeous and cozy. I’m so happy for you. And for all us viewers because it’s gonna be a lot of fun. Already is.

Looks great! I'm sure you'll love it for a long time I'm looking at vans a similar size, but with a permanently built double bed at the back instead of the U shaped sofa, because I need to store a bike and a suitcase size bag, so under the bed is the best option for me By the way - I'm almost certain you can get a double swivel passenger seat for that model of van!

The van is fantastic James. You and Helen are living out my husband’s and I dream. It’s the exact van we would have chosen. We always wanted to own one then life stepped in and my husband had an accident. He is ok now but we are too old now to go travelling . Love the new van. We use Hanneman towels large but thinner and dry really quickly. I would keep the seats as they are and for the odd occasion where there are three of you then you can take Helen’s car as well. It may also be necessary if Helen needs to get back and you want to stay longer. If that doesn’t work then think about the expense. If it was going to be a regular thing then it would be worth it. My dad has a similar van (Wildax) and he is always kipping in his swivel chair 😂
