ร is still pronounced with tongue trill in Thai textbooks by Chinese book publishers. That is why I have to learn how to pronounce it correctly. I still cannot pronounce it though. 😅

In Norway we trill our Rs so no problem for us :) What confuses me is that the same Thai person will trill the Rs in some words, but not in all words. Also, in "khop Khun krap" it sometimes sounds as if the "krap" is pronounced as "khap"?

Exactly, sometimes pronouncing “Rs” in Thai makes it more formal. “Krap” is more formal and polite than “Khap”. 😀

Normally people pronounce initial Rs as Ls. And skip Rs that come after another consonant, like Krop = kop
