I received my R5m2 yesterday. One thing that I was curious about was the USB-C charging. In everything about the new model Canon has disavowed their PD-E1 usb charger instead pushing the PD-E2 version that isn’t available yet. When the new LP-E6P battery got down to 50% I decided to try my PD-E1 charger. Plugged it in, got the green light, and it charged the battery in camera back up to 100%. 👍🏻. Now if the new PD-E2 charger can deliver more power and charge quicker, it might be worth the upgrade but their product information doesn’t give the specs to compare on either models. 🤷🏻♂️

I have done it yesterday ! I learned a lot with your guides. I use my R3s a lot with an ethernet cable and transfer craw to ShutterSnitch on the iPad and then LR. Mobile. I have to check out a cable connection with a usb c cable. But I want to use the SET Button. Thanks for these great infos 🙏🙏🙏

This video was incredibly helpful-thank you! I have a special request for a future topic: I'm having trouble tethering my Canon R5 Mark II to my Mac and PC via USB-C. I'm not sure if it's the memory cards, the USB-C cables, or the computers I'm using. I never experienced this issue with any other Canon camera. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How about using the EOS Network setting tool app? I couldn’t figure it out.

If I go to a venue, can I use the venue's Wi-Fi and password to connect to Photoshelter?

As long as it doesn't have a splash login screen, you can use an existing Wi-Fi network.

@@byuphoto Thank you or the info. Is it R5 Mark II do not need a Wireless File Transmitter to have the FTP function? The R5 still need a WFT-R10

No additional transmitter is needed.

There might be something buggy with my R5 Mark II Wifi. It does not see my main home Wifi. Even with WPS button, it won't connect. All my other Canon cameras see it and connect to my home Wifi just fine. The weird thing is that my R5 Mark II sees OTHER Wifi connections- so the Wifi works. I'm sure it's something particular with my home Wifi that the R5 Mark II doesn't like- but as mentioned, all my other Canon cameras see and connect to it okay. I have a feeling Canon is going to say the problem is with my home Wifi- which may be true. But all my other Canon cameras don't have a problem with it. Thanks for these videos- there are not too many other resources for FTP transfer.

Have you tried it on different networks other than your home?
