Hi C-C, I've been listening to electronic music for forty years and have seen Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Orbital, Underworld etc etc. I discovered Onuka/Nata Zhyzhchenko/Filatov at the beginning of June. Wow! I was emotionally blown away. Her & her husband Yevgen have created one of the finest musical projects in decades. I'd say Onuka is one of the must see bands before you die! She really does have the voice of an angel, & in interviews she genuinely doesn't believe in her singing ability on a technical level. Do listen to or do a reaction to "19-86", with the subject matter in that song it reduced me to tears. It is a modern classic. Each song she writes & records is sheer perfection. Zavtra, Around Me, Guns Don't Shoot, Animal, Strum, Zenit, Xto, Time, the list goes on and on. She's a stunning genius & I honestly believe she's the Kate Bush of modern times, regardless of wether anyone understands her language. She does sing with simple message lyrics which are so powerful & you can feel the meaning reverberating through each track. Discovering her was the ultimate gift after coming out of covid. Look forward to hearing more reviews of her music!

If it wasn't for Go_A performing live at Eurovision this year, I would never have known about Onuka. What an utter marvel she is. Hugely underrated & that's a woman who doesn't think she's a fully competent singer! I really wish she had more confidence in her voice. Bloody amazing girl!
