Its not the running on first down that frustrates me its the continued running on second down after short gains that does.

Well if you run on first down it sets up the play action which in return will improve the run game. Those that complain about running on first down must have not been fans of the Texans during the Kubiak Ara. The Westcoast offense can be used to tire out the opposing defense and keep your offense on the field and in return keeps your defense resting on the sideline.

Kubiaks offense had far better lineman who were more disciplined and could actually run block. He didn’t need to run out 2 TE’s and a FB to run the ball. It’s not just about being predictable in his play call tendencies, it’s also his usage of personal that tips teams off as to when Slowik is going to run the ball.

@@mellomike4012 I mostly agree, the Kubiak/Shanahan era had an elite OL but did use two TE. The 2nt TE was used as a TE/FB like Cade Stover but was better disguised. Slowik is way to predictable and our OL was built by Bill O'Brien that ran that lame Pro Offense that could never run the ball.

@@Cameron--zs3lb Lmao, we had Vontae Leach, we didn’t need 2 Te’s we could run the standard I Form and hit teams up the gut. Owen Daniel’s wasn’t the greatest blocking TE, it was mainly that O Line….Brown, Wade, Myers and Brooks were the best all time.

@@mellomike4012 in 2011 they had Owen Daniels and Joel Dreessen at TE and James Casey at TE/FB. They also had Garrett Graham as a rookie plus that elite OL, and Andre Johnson that could lock the DBs down if needed. Leach was years before that. Vonta Leach was one tough SOB though.

The league is scripted, when you see all the crazy un characteristic plays, they have been scripted by the league, prime point, no other online player got a penalty last week, but yesterday every online man had a foul or 2, yeah, I guess this doesn't make tinsel look so bad, point is ain't nothing they can do but go by the script, all teams are going thru it, the ravens won and there online is way worse than the texans as a fact, but they beat the bills, yeah.
