I'm an OSU fan and I agree with both points. First, when OSU goes to Michigan they should be nervous and be ready for a fight. Yeah, it might happen someday. Second, whoever is mixing audio is doing a horrible job. I had to ride gain just to listen to the first part. 3:40 in and I'm reading comments instead of watching/listening. Klatt's mic is much hotter than Cowherd's, who sound like he's talking out in the hallway. Let me know if they say anything important enough for me to go back and do the sound person's job for them.

They do play the game. And it is very enjoyable. So instead of blaming the same 4, maybe the other 126 teams should step up to the plate. Properly invest in facilities. Invest in coaching staffs. Invest properly in recruiting. Hire the maximum amount of analysts. If teams are not doing those things, why should they be rewarded with a playoff berth they did not earn?

The Big Ten made 54 million in revenue in 19-20, the SEC made 45 million. Texas and OU do not guarantee making that 9 million up. The perception in College Athletics overwhelms the reality and its the worst example of that in sports.

Made a lot of valid points about ND relative to TV coverage, weather, and rise of the Big Ten making it "more" difficult for Kelly to recruit but it's still Notre Dame. None of those things affect their recruiting that much...yes, some. But they will always be a top 10 draw and their schedule is a carnival ride. They had two tough games: Cincinnati and Wisconsin. They lost to the Bearcats and they got to the Badgers before the Gophers did. If they make it to the playoffs they get their on reputation rather than merit and get their doors blown off.

Great analysis. Yes Michigan can be competitive for the exact reason he mentioned. You bring pressure against Stroud and they’re not as dynamic. If Michigan can do that, they have a great chance to win. If they don’t it’ll be another blowout. Don’t let the past few years cloud the fact this is a completely different defense. They went from one of the 2-3 best matchups for OSU with Don Browns defense to one of the worst matchups. The exact opposite from the MSU game for the Buckeyes last week. It’ll be a good game. I’ll always be skeptical of Michigan winning until they actually do, but this year is different. They’ll play them closer than they have and it’ll be a great game

@@haydonh3884 I personally haven’t but I’ve seen people that have. I was a skeptic of our defensive scheme against Ohio state when Don brown was here. It was never suited to stopping them. You can’t run straight man with no help and hope your blitz gets there every down. OSU has killed us with quick slants/ins and on the perimeter ever since Browns second year here. Now there is a pro style defense that disguises coverage and has a sustained pass rush it is a completely different defense that actually gameplans well against the OSU offense. The Buckeyes could still very well win, I just think it’ll be a closer game than the last 3 years

The Asst. coachs that are top recruiters make or brake a program. coachs can teach technique and schemes all the want but the asst. are a large part of the teaching and building relationships with recruits and the win games. Alabama gets the nod in this they get the best OL out there and corners every year. You can protect the QB up front the skilled players will want to play there and with corners that can play man in the 3-4 scheme lb are free to make plays and bring pressure.
