Stroud already has 50% of the playoff wins that Lamar has. And yeah, he has two MVP’s, but honestly, Josh Allen should have gotten it last year(and I’m a Chiefs fan, so). He won the MvP without leading the league in a single QB category. He always has a top 5 if not a top 3 defense to carry him, alway has a good running game, and one of the greatest kickers of all time. But when you make him throw when it matters most, he’ll let you down. He’s a top 3 talent, he’s a top ten QB. And he could till be better and change this narrative, but as of today, that’s where he’s at.

It's a passing league and it's simple math: too many guys need to put hands on the other team and risk penalties or missed assignments vs a QB hitting his drop and sending it.

Any list of the Top 5 QBs currently that does not include Lamar is simply not objective. The man wins at a clip outpaced only by Mahomes. He has 2 MVPs, including last season. Objectively, by any fair measure, he has to be at least Top 5. It's Mahomes, then pick your order of Lamar, Allen, Burrow (if/when healthy) and then No. 5 is up for grabs with Stroud only needing to prove it one more year. Honestly, 5 is probably Purdy right now.

nah he just doesn't win lol. also look who hes played with. had a 1700 yard back his rookie year. three years ago had cooper, lamb, and pre injury gallup (who was a dawg) and schultz, with 2 1k yard backs. then the year after same thing minus coop, but lamb took a step, and two 1k yard backs. then this year the best receiver in football and a 800 yard te, and they figured out cooks by the end of the year. had all that just to fold in the playoffs. he can't handle big moments, whether thats in the regular szn or post. stats are irrelevant if you don't produce when it matters. and watch him this year, he WILL look awful, thanks to a brutal schedule and less weapons than ever before. hes average and thats the truth.

how was he better than allen? allen had 198 more yards(4306), 6 more passing tds(29td). allen had 15 rushing tds and 524 yards on the ground strouds 3tds and 167yds. Allen led the NFL in TDS with 44. Bills also played a 1st place in division schedule while the texans played a 4th place schedule, and the AFC east is better than the AFC south. Allen>Stroud right now, im not arguing strouds potential (i have him in a dynasty league w/ tank dell), right now Josh Allen is a better QB. oct 6th Bills at Texans.

@@novanator3355 that's the problem with over relying on stats. People forget the actual purpose of analytics. It's to help you with reaffirming what you see, not replace it. Numbers can lie without proper context. The reason Stroud was actually better last season was because he was better at knowing what not to do. In other words, Allen was too reckless in comparison. Because he was overly aggressive. It's a double edged sword, reminiscent of guys like farve. Overall their capability last season was around the same. At their level of skill and talent it is kind of a plateau in a lot of traits. So the difference becomes decision making. And Stroud was one of, if not the best at that last season. And with the guys who are more physically capable than Allen and Stroud, they are worse at throwing. So it's another trade off. Yea Stroud could have had more running production, but he clearly chose passing over running. Where in similar situations Allen chose to run. In some cases it's matters of preference and luck. So with everything else so close I prefer the guy who made better decisions.
