Tremendous tune written by the Ber Gees for Celine. Theres a live version of this collaboration when the Bee Gees played live in their home Australia in a recorded live concert performance. Both are amazingly talented artists. The Bee Gees working with Celine and Barbara Streisand and writing for them is just incredible. You should check out Barry Gibb and the Bee Gees backing vocals on Woman in love by Barbara Steisand. Barry produced and wrote for Barbara's hit album in the 80s.

OH YES SAEED!!!!! One of my fav songs from the Bee Gee's and how stunningly beautiful is Celine !!! There is a video of them all in a studio running through this song....and at one time the camera goes to Barry and he was crying....I believe they initially had it marked as a tribute to their younger brother Amdy who died at a young age. But Celine was meant to sing this. The video is so haunting and when she walks through the crowd one realises she is a 'ghost' The 'live' stage performance is fantastic too. but this is a masterpiece of photography and breathtaking vocals.

Barry has often mentioned in interviews that music (writing songs) has always been the most important thing to them and he wants to keep the legacy alive as long as he lives, but when asked what the biggest/most important thing in his life is/was he answered with " the day I met Linda"! I love your description .. going through a portal. Celine has that effect. This song was so beautifully crafted and the superb combo of voices is perfection. Bee Gees were not only great lyricists and singers but renowned for their musical compositions. The use of the drums in this piece to “punch home” the feelings is brilliant. If I remember correctly after The Bee Gees had 3 number one hits on the movie Saturday Night Fever, and collaborated on a 4th sung by a female artist, suddenly the radio stations stopped playing their music and they fell out of favor for a time. However, The Bee Gees being The Bee Gees didn’t just sit around twiddling their thumbs. They started writing songs for other top artists including this one for Ms Dion, one (or more) for Barbara Streisand, and one for Michael Jackson (there is a KZbin video of Barry and Michael recording and rehearsing Michael’s. There are probably more I just can’t remember all of them. I do know the vocalists who recorded the song had big hits with them.
