Celine regards Barbra as her musical idol and she wanted to sing with her and basically joked someday maybe we can do a duet, and Barbra said well let's make that happen and it did. Another greats combo worth watching is a very young Barbra singing with one of her musical idols too, none other than Judy Garland on Judy's TV show in the early 1960s.

Superb analysis! This song was written as a conversation between a mother and her daughter. David Foster, who had produced both artists during their careers, wrote the song specifically for Celine to perform with Barbra as it was a lifelong dream of her's to sing with her idol, so David made it happen. The song was actually written by David, Linda Thompson (Elvis' one-timw girlfriend), and Celine. Since there's a 26-year difference between the two ladies (Celine was 29, Barbra 55), the lyrics were perfect. Celine's voice is stunning, but there's just something other-worldly coming from Streisand's throat. I compare it to singing in 3D, while everyone else is in 2D. She's so very special! I hope you'll react to Barbra's duet with Donna Summer on "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" [long version]. You will see a completely different side of Streisand's incredible vocal talents as she ventured into the Disco world. It was a huge hit for both ladies, and there's a great story about what happened during the recording session, which I'll share when you post it. Even the great Donna Summer was in awe of Barbra. Beautiful Yes they are where it begins for theses young ladies and they got there own and hold on too, but theses icons both have different tones but just amazing, there at the ending they're both singing and then Celine throws that G5 note in there and comes back down. You get where she did that, Anyways you're mighty good to be able to stand in there shoes and you know who can, Love theses ladies though And i love Barb from her movies. And she still is pretty to me She still holds her prettiness in her late 80s I'm not sure of her age but i know she's one of our oldest actresses still with us, I never knew they did a duet and how cool. They sound close but so different but worked good for them

The Bee Gees wrote the song Immortality Specifically for Celine Dion...It had been a wish for them to write a song that she would sing Herself,,but she Insisted that the Bee Gees sing it With Her..and the result is something to behold.If you can find the Video of them actually producing the song you can see the Emotions of the Bee Gees,,,it says it all!
