You should react to Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli singing their song "The Prayer" and Andrea's cocert at Central Park in NYC. That is insane. Andrea is a blind Italian opera singer. He was mostly blind at birth but at 12 years of age he got hit in the eye with a soccer ball (or football as british people say) and went completely blind. He rides horses, plays the piano, plays chess, and can sing/talk in a few different languages. I've sen him live and he's incredible too.

It's funny. I actually remember where I was when I first heard this song. It was 1993, and I was living in Brooklyn, Cobble Hill to be precise, at the time. I was grocery shopping at our local store just down the block from our brownstone apartment. And you know how they always play older tunes at grocery stores over the speakers, usually softer light music. Well, like I said, I'm in Brooklyn! The owner was Italian and loved singers. So he played his music a little louder! Lol! And he would also play some of the newly released songs as well. Anyway, I was half-listening, but mostly trying to hurry through my shopping to get home and make some dinner. When all of a sudden, that last big, long, high note came out, and I automatically dropped whatever was in my hands, and looked to the person next to me and said, "What the hell was that?" LOL! (Everyone talks to everyone in Brooklyn!) We both kind of laughed a little and agreed that that was pretty phenomenal! I rushed home and grabbed a bite. Then went right back out and went to Tower Records and asked for the new Celine Dion CD. I had to hear it again and what was on the rest of the album! I'm a professional singer/musician/vocal coach in and around NYC. I'm always looking for a new song to use. And I always appreciate an amazing vocal!

One of my fav songs of hers is one that the Bee Gee's wrote called 'IMMORTALITY' The video is hauntingly beautiful but there is also a 'live' performance with the Bee Gees too. Now you definitely have to dive into Lara Fabian. Has always been overshadowed by Celine in Canada. A lot of Lara's songs are in French. But such a beautiful voice. Lara is considered an Italian-Belgium-Canadian artist.

You should listen to her sing My Heart Will Go On .... she didn't want to record it because it was too sad but Rene (her husband/agent) convinced her to do it. I think it's her signature song now. After Rene passed on, when she sang it on stage, she broke the last few notes and nearly lost it. The crowd went nuts. The bad thing about this production is that a lot of vocal processing was done for the DVD. "Live" singing is almost entirely involved in studio processing from mixing and mastering.

That's why I really love the decision made by her and the team to not have dubbed the '90s Live recordings (VHS/DVDs hehe). I would love to hear more of actual live Mariah's undubbed performances for MSG 1995 and Tokyo 1996. It's a shame we don't have that.

However, in the clip you see, her team decided to put some strange effect on her voice which screams blasphemy 😤 She doesn't need any of that 🙄 I've seen Celine live and her voice has so much! Celine is a fantastic singer but, fou this song in particular, she is the n 3. Check Laura Branigan and Jennifer Rush with the same song. The original is by Jennifer,and it's perfect. But Laura Branigan version is by far my favourite, it's more raw, she have an unbelievable power and raspiness in her voice. Maybe woulb be nice if you compare the 3 versions. Kiss from Portugal.
