It’s not a cover, but Jean Jacques Goldman did write this song for her. The French title actually means “So that you’ll still love me” or “So that you love me again”, not really sure what the direct translation should be in English. Celine is French Canadian, so her first language/career is French.

je sais que tu parles francais donc bonjour de france . et oui.... non seulement elle parle francais mais a enregistré ses premiers disques en francais dont le premier e n etait qu un reve puis d'amour ou d'amitié puis a gagné le concours eurovision de la chanson avec "ne partez pas sans moi" alors pour l histoire de cette chanson , goldman a pris tous les renseignements possibles et lui a fait tout un album avec des paroles qui la touche . I have adored this song since the early 90's and have so many fond memories built around it. Both versions (French and English) are favorites of mine!
