Fun fact in the us we do require that after a certain amount of miles highways have to be perfectly straight to act as a runway if need. Recently we had A10s landing and taking off from a highway. I can’t remember what state but it was like 2 years ago

Yes I remember I was drive down a highway and I saw a couple flying low above in the distance. I’m pretty sure a part of the highway was blocked off for this reason . Correct me if I’m wrong
