You can use either BrE or AmE vocabulary and spelling but you should be consistent (don't mix the two)

Good morning Ben. I've a question for you which is more a curiosity I might say. I usually watch American movies (such as Mission Impossible series) without subtitles and I understand the 80% of the dialogues. However I can understand your speeches as if you were speaking Italian (I'm Italian!!!). What's your secret? ahhhh i had my speaking test today and it went well except for the picture comparing part because I got stupid pictures so I ran out of ideas and didn't know what more to say so we sat there in silence for about 10 seconds 🫠 I have my written exam tomorrow and I attended a CAE course at my school but we never did writing which sucks so I hope I can still do it somehow. Especially part two because there are too many different options. 😩

You can simply cross out the incorrect word and write the correct word clearly.

Hello everybody. This part of the exam I am preparing for (not the Cambridge one, for the moment) seems to my eyes a sort of "fourre-tout grammatical" (I'm trying to not cheat by seeking the equivalent of this French phrase on the Internet). But, maybe I shouldn't regard what my teacher says about that as a… necessary way to get a good mark. I mean: perhaps I'm not forced to fill my essay with all the grammar we've learned. I don't know. Imagine… a possessive case, a conditional (at least the second), a present perfect, a past perfect, an expression of the goal using "to", some relative pronouns (OK, this latter one looks unavoidable to produce a text which can be understood 😂), and I've probably forgotten a few ones… all that stuff in less than 165 words! In my view, whichever text we write to be read by someone else than ourselves must be as pleasant, as compelling as possible; it shouldn't be a sort of grammatical memento. Anyway, it's an exam, the skills demanded are academic skills. I'll have to make do with that.

I've been preparing for the exam for, give or take, four months. I am absolutely terrified, as tomorrow is the big day. I'm not going to lie, I'm a fast writer. In a matter of ten minutes, I can do two whole writing tests. But I'm scared I'll screw up. SO, so scared. To the point it's unhealthy. I struggle with reports, I hate writing reviews, and.... God, I'm terrified! I hope that the many videos I watched of yours will help me out!

What would you recommend, taking B2 exam once again hoping I achieve A level, which is equivalent to C1 or I should just simply take C1 exam.

Go for the C1 advanced exam. It seems that you have the level already and repeating the B2 First will be demotivating.

Hi. I took my exam on June 18th and 19th. My results are expected on the 19th of August, according to the CoE. That's 9 weeks.... Does it always take this long for the results to arrive, or are they often posted faster? It's the paper version btw.

Hi teacher Ben, can you give me an advice about this essay?! I have the exam in March this year. I would apreciate if you can answer my question. Thank you! Taking advice from older generations Not a few times we are confronting in our lives with different problems. Undoubtedly we all said at a very young age we don´t need anyone´s advice but at a certain point we arrived to the conclusion that is better to take some advice from the older generations. In this essay, two aspects regarding which area young people could gain most from older generations will be discussed: work and money. The first aspect to point out is that a major part of the children tend to do the same work as the one their parents did. Whether they accompanied them at work or had discussions at home about it, it affected them in a way or another. Equally relevant to the issue are the questions about the money. Young people doesn´t have experience regarding the money. Some of them are starting to gain large amounts of money at a very young age, nevertheless they are not willing to ask for advice about how to manage it right from older people. All of this points to the conclusion that both the work and the money are important for the future of the young generation that´s why, to avoid some unpleasant experiences in our lives it is wise to take advices from the ones who already lived it in their lives. In my opinion it is more important to manage right the money, especially if you plan in the future having a family or to open your own business PS: very helpful videos :)
