Ballz man! Brake fluid is very flammable!

Only two things the other side could have going on... differential oil or brake fluid. Did it smell super nasty ? if it did it is the gear oil coming past the seal, plan to put a bearing in it too. If it was a leaky wheel cylinder you will fix it when you change out that side. Tip for getting the park brake line out easy is to put a hose clamp around the retaining tabs and tighten it up until you can pull it through easy from the backside. Great days to ya man !

I've never changed a bearing it could be a bad wheel cylinder like you said I guess I'll see when I start taking that side apart.

finished the brake job yesterday the bottom spring gave me bit of trouble. its been a while for me to work on drum brakes. My booster is making sounds so I think that's next on the list they said you can use a system from 89-94 chevy brake system ?

C10 marco at the moment I haven't found a website or company that remakes this part I have seen it sold used on Ebay. This is one of the challenges of restoring classic good luck bud

Yes I believe so it came with the kit and the old brake had it also. But i believe it does go there it keeps the spring centered

If it's a 72 it should have disk brakes in the front and drum in the rear but I believe the front and rear brakes are different

70 does have drums all around but the front and rear are different the rear has a parking brake cable

I used duralast all in one drum brake kit part#H7018 it retails $10 and the kit comes for both sides

Thanks I painted it myself about 10 years ago the color is monza red. It's gotten some rust spots on the cab and doors so I might repaint the truck again.

@@dantehooks1603 I had a used a primer sealer and I dont remember the brand of paint but I used a base coat clearcoat system its alot better than single stage paint and it last a lot longer
