I'm a believer in helping folks like you a little bit when I can. Right now I am a Patron of nine people, because I like what they do and enjoy the content they provide and I always learn from their posts. I support them all at the same level because I'm not made out of money but I still want to help them a little when I can. $5.00 per month doesn't sound like much but if you have 100 people chipping in $5.00 per month, well, that starts to add up and some of these expenses don't bankrupt your shop. And it's great that you can pass on discounts to your supporters, thereby, giving back what you've been given. "We keep what we have by giving it away" is an actual spiritual principle and one that I try to live by. Thanks for the great content! My 65 C20 won't have a Duramax in it but I just might have a supercharger on the 350 crate engine I installed 10 years ago by the time I'm done.

As far as exhaust stacks go, I always thought they were dorky as hell unless it was a semi-truck or race truck. I'm a retired diesel mechanic and I'm kinda stuck in my ways LOL. BUT, with a headache rack and straight stacks and rain caps would look and sound sweet.

Keep the stacks, its been a part of the plan since the beginning. Definitely inside the box, but maybee the very tips level with the top of the cab. Keeps things low, would look slick. Not sure about the rust though, truck isn't really crusty and the wheels/roof are clean so maybee a good polish. Guys are comparing stacks to how they look on normal rigs, which i am not a fan of, but this, this is definitely something where stacks should be considered.

Cab mounts: weld a nut to the underside of the bracket and run the bolt in from inside the cab. Also: not digging the stacks. I think side dumps would look best. Dump them behind the wheels though, otherwise, you'll turn those nice white wheels black lol.

I'm normally not a fan of stacks, but I think it'll look sweet. Also, for the interior, I'd overkill on sound insulation. One, it'll keep the outside noise down. Two, it'll make the music sound better. 3, it'll probably be more comfortable in the winter. Glad you're keeping the exterior the way it is. I'm doing a similar thing with my 78 f150.

I always do the exhaust system last since at that point I have the "idea" of what the project will look like. Stacks are definitely tricky to get right look wise, and axle dumps are easy. But if you're doing a real fancy headache rack with some lights they might compliment it real well.
