To me getting the glass out and replacing it is pretty easy. The hard part can be getting everything readjusted to close properly, not leak and not rattle.

The snaps on the repro felt seals don't go in nearly as easy as the originals. The originals you can push in by hand. I had a lot of trouble getting them back in once the windows were installed., the trick was an L-shaped pry bar and a hammer.

Great video. On my 80 Vette the window has a little play moving in and out. I already replaced the felt pads and the gasket that goes around the door, but for some reason it still has a little shimmy when you don't raise the window all the way up. Do you think it might need new bushings or is there some adjustment somewhere?

Should have included how to pull off & replace the inside stuff - door panels, trim, pull, armrests, window winder/switch, etc. That stuff can be a pain to get off & on if you don't know how.

On my 76stingray the passenger side window is off the track and sliding from left to right how do I stop that and put it on the right spot so it closes correctly

Are you sure about the need to remove the window to access the mirror? Back in 1978 I installed bright blue metallic OEM bullet mirrors that I bought from my local Chevy dealer (my buddy worked in the parts department 😊) on my 1975. It was so long ago I don’t remember what I took off to do the installation. Don’t recall removing the glass but maybe I did.

I don’t recall how the passenger side mirror was secured. Is there a brace inside the door skin that you drill through or is there a bracket you need to install inside the door to secure the mirror?
