Great video on aligning the rear on C2 or C3 Corvettes! It helps to take the mystery out of how to set toe and align the rear on Corvettes!!

I’m no expert although I have literally turned ever single bolt, nut an screw on my’74 over the past 3 years of my frame off restoration. Adjusting camber was one of my most annoying tasks. The stock strut adjusters refused to stay put and increased the frustration of getting it set right. I switched those out for the turnbuckle style, much easier to adjust and the locking jam nuts insured that they stay put. The adjust and roll and adjust and roll technique was equally frustrating and time consuming. I discovered that setting the camber with the rear wheels on my garage dollies eliminated the need to roll the car to let the wheels settle. Just bounced the car car, checked, adjusted, bounced, checked, adjusted...easy-peasy. I also just used my two foot level against the outside of my tires to check the plumb (camber). Worked perfectly for me.

Adjustable strut rods made it a lot easier to set the camber on my car. Make sure to use red loctite on those lock nuts, though.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but the 1/8 inch toe in per the manual is supposed to be measured at the tire radius. When you set the 1/8 inch at the brake rotor, it will result in an incorrect setting by the ratio of the tire to bake rotor diameter. Maybe I have it wrong and maybe I don't understand it well enough.

On my car the trailing arm can't be pushed any more with the spacers. I need to turn the wheel inwards more but the arm can't be pushed more because the cushions in the arms are pressing against the other side. Any ideas how to fix?

You may need new bushings.

All this is fine, how much space did you have at flange of the half shaft? Your not addressing that witch make everything your doing here worthless.

Thank you for the comment. All worked great as mentioned in the video. Half shaft was not a problem before or after work.

it was not an issue and still is not an issue on my car. My car is running great. I should know...it is my car. If it was an issue I would have addressed it.
