C418 - Mice on Venus, but it's a sad film score

After this crazy time, where the KZbin algorithm recommended my two Minecraft reorchestrations to a lot of people, I decided to make a new one.
I only concentrated on the first part of the piece, because I think it's such a strong melody and I wanted to find out where it could go. At first I had no idea how this could ever work out and I nearly scrapped the idea of making this video at all, but suddenly the idea of the chord change and the flute popped into my head and all from then on the ideas just kept flowing out of me.
It's always such an emotional moment to listen to the final track on which I've been working on for hours and notice it all just comes together in the end. Even shed a few tears while making this one.

God, I hope they don't make a minecraft movie. It's be just as bad as the emoji movie, no matter how many talented people work on it. The emoji movie was bad because emojis, as a concept, are impossible to make a movie out of and so is minecraft. There's no serious plot or any sort of substance to make a joke out of so the only way I could possibly see a minecraft movie working out, is for the movie to just be one hour and thirty minutes of someone playing minecraft but with good camera angles. Any other approach would just never be able to encapsulate the true beauty that is Minecraft and would, therefore, feel bland and unfaithful to the source material

Minecraft is such an expansive game that has left SO much room for theorising about lore. For example, there's such a sense of wonder and timelessness to discovering a jungle temple for the first time. There are literally countless ways the temple could have come about, maybe it was built by some ancient civilisation. Comparing an infinitely substantive game to some funny little face thingies is just dumb.

This was so beautiful! I had to make an analysis: 0:07 Creating a new Minecraft World for new and old. The wonderful theme begins to play... 1:25 A moment to embrace Minecraft. I love how the woodwinds and strings give emotion. 2:12 Why, why is this so beautiful? The way the sun sets but the orchestra tries to brings it back up but falls with such an impacting chord change. This gives me nostalgia of when I first started playing Minecraft PE Demo in 2012 (Amazon Appstore). 2:41 A moment of silence for the game that changed our lives. The detail of clouds moving in shows the flood of memories bringing you back to your childhood and the lost of worlds deleted. 3:05 But. . . Our adventure isn't over, say, let's make new memories! This is the one song we always come back to. So today i beat the enderdragon for the very first time. No, not in creative mode such as 10 years ago. This was in my most best made survival world that i have ever made on my first pc, that i build this christmas. And as i was fighting the dragon, all my memories came back to me. I remember how i used to play minecraft on the tablet with all my friends in the neighborhood. We would do dropper maps and survival games. I remember how we would pretend to have built a very big and luxurious mansion, while in reality, we downloaded it. I remember watching roleplay servers with massive amounts of players, and how this has been revived. I remember all the worlds, all my friends, all the memories i have. And today... today i finally did it. I finally beat the enderdragon. On my very own. All those years i was too scared to do it. And now i have completed my objective. Thank you Minecraft. Thank you for everything that you gave me. Thank you for making new friends with me. Thank you for all those memories that ill never forget. Steve returned to his house after defeating the ender dragon, but on the trip back he was killed by a creeper, he didn't respawn since It was hardcore and his dog kept waiting and got excited over any movement, the dog soon began losing hope for his owners return, at his final minutes he had a flashback to all the memories he and steve had, he then closed his eyes for the final time.

Been here since 2010 or 2011, the memories are a bit faded at this point. But damn, sometimes the soundtrack kinda makes me sit back and reflect on all the years that have passed. You Sir, have awakened a piece of my mind I never thought was present. I began playing Minecraft in the Classic and Indev phases, which was mid to late 2009. My most memorable time however was in Alpha. Oh Alpha 1.1.0, how I miss you so. The oldschool clicky clack door sounds, the non stackable meat, the old hit sound and oh the awful lighting. You brought me so many memories. I saw so many things brought into this game over the days, months, hell years to come. I stopped playing the game around 2015-2016 and the most recent version of the game I have played is 1.12.2. I don't think Ill ever fully get into the more modern additions, but I will forever respect, and remember this game. So the rest of you remember as well. Remember when this game was in its hay day.

My brother introduced this game to me when I was 9, summer of 2012 when we were on holiday and I was instantly obsessed. I still remember parts of my first time playing this game, asking him how to craft an axe. I'd never have known for the next 10 years I'd be playing this game on and off, the countless people I would meet, friends I would make and subsequently lose after we moved on. I'll always remember this game, who knows where I'd be now without it.
