C43 AMG Pov drive with ASR module Exhaust flap mod

It would have been good to station a camera by the exhaust so that everyone can hear the exhaust open at 100%. My 2020 C63S with Renntech EVM sounds ridiculous and growls hard at low RPMs. Even a cold start is really mean and my neighbors are always asking me if its "stock"...lol I am enjoying it for sure. Just installed the ASR module and I've got to admit the noise difference is unreal up to 3000 revs. Definitely won't be getting muffler delete on the c43

I have a question when driving with the valve fully closed (not stock I mean when you have three valves 100% closed always) do you hear something like a vacuum when accelerating? Also when valves are closed in sport plus is there the crackle when shifting and are there pops and bangs? Hope you answer I would really appreciate it

Hey, its hard to tell on the vacuum sound without hearing. Could be the natural noise of the turbos. I think its normal to hear crackles and pops with values closed in sport+ but they will be much quieter.

Hi ABAuto, Paddie here from South Africa, I want to buy this ASR module, I have got a 2015 Mercedes Benz C200 W205 AMG. My question is, will this Module work on my car, or is the the C43 and C63 that is works on? I believe my vehicle should also have the AMG Performance Exhaust

Hi Paddle, I'm afraid these dont work on the C200 as the exhaust is very different. This is for the C63 and C43 only. You could get some downpipes or an entire exhaust system for your c200 if you want to increase the sound.

Thanks for the content, dude! Just ordered my Renntech EVM (ASR has a licensing deal with them for the US) for my 2018 C43 in the same color! Definitely not cheap, but I was about to delete my resonator so I figured I should at least give this a go before I permanently alter my PE. Also, have you ever programmed the the two buttons from the ASR fob into your Homelink? I’m shocked people don’t seem to be doing that. You feel like James Bond when you hit a button on your rearview for some growl. I’ve done it in the past for an electronic cutout I had. Take care! 🤙

@awsomeangel12345 ASR module has been great for me, really gave nicer sounds at lower rpms. I’m going to be giving away a free module to a random draw C43 owner at my event on the 24th if you live in the UK and are able to make it. This one will be for the 2019 c43 onwards though it won’t work on previous years.

But you have not pops and bangs with the ASR in comfort mode right? You need to put it always on sport+?

ASR module doesn't really change the way any of the pops and bangs work. It just allows the valves to he open 100% at lower RRMs. With or ithout the ASR modules sport+ is the only mode that gives the enhanced bangs on gear changes and the crackles. Hope this helps. Adam

Does the ASR mode selected from the controller remain in whatever mode you left it in even after you turn the car off and on the following time?

Yep! It remembers and keeps the valves open till you press 2 or 3 so it's nice for louder startup. It's also handy for changing drive modes, eg if you switch from sport+ to comfort you dont have to keep turning the exhaust back on etc.

Hey AB just had my car in today for a noise it made which is called 'tyre skip'. Apparently this happens with the c43 models and the tyres it comes with Have you had this issue?

Hi Mate, This tyre skipping noise your hearing is due to the freezing cold temperatures. I experienced this exact problem last year with the stock tyres. After switching to the non run flat pilot sport 4s it has fixed it completely for me. Here's the video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/ap2yfIKjdsemm5Y

@@taj368 Hi mate, any local tyre shop should stock these they are a popular tyre, might be best to find the easiest to your location. No need to change anything on the car once the tyres change. Pressures are the same as the runflats too :)
