Hey! It is not very clear, but the polygon in the first tutorial is swept along which axis?
@AlmostDailyRender2 жыл бұрын
@@msklaimelaim Hi, at 02:20 I'm moving the linear field along the X-axis, same as when I explain the Alternate X. The polygons are rotating on the H Rotation (Heading), regardless of the linear field's orientation. When I explain the Alternate Y the linear field is being moved along the Y-axis and the polygon is rotating on the P Rotation (Pitch). Thanks for watching.

Sitting here at 2:37am in the UK struggling to get my textures to stay, and you've given me the solution. Thank you so much!

Driving the objects with the cloner through Xpresso! Brilliant! Thank you

Fantastic info - thank you. Used your technique to create a piece I was having a lot of trouble with. Instead of cubes, think long prisms that rotate like vertical blinds. Each face of the prism - 3 sides - has a different image that has to resolve when the blinds rotate into place. Wasn't able to use a camera map for each resolve separately, but by rotating each face to the resolve position separately I was able to create the correct UV maps in stages. The result then uses your XPresso setup to touch it off perfectly. Thanks again!

Just found this, great idea and fantastic tutorial. I am having trouble getting the xpresso setup to work with the newer rigid body simulation tag in 2024.4.1. Any idea if thats a different xpresso setup? It works with the bullet system rigid body tag but not the newer simulation system. Thanks!

Very very helpful (2 years old but i'm 2 years late) this is brilliant. Q - in your 4 x 4 x 4 setup, if i wanted to apply the Racoon (front image) to only the front 16 cubes (were clones) is there a way to add into the xpresso all the textures and add a index range to change the textures per cube? And i'm guessing this could go further to change cube textures with fields and effectors?

Hi @almost Daily Render, This was a good tutorial.But ,my case is different. I have tetris like structure made up with multiple cubes, and I want to project my images on that tetris shapes, so that when we arrange all that cubes,we get the image. Can you show me,how we can do that?
@AlmostDailyRender2 жыл бұрын
Is it like Tetris the game? The only thing I can think of is to project and bake the image/ images at the end state. That's what I did for the second example in the intro where the cubes come together to form a larger cube. The only problem with that is the cubes all need to be in the same orientation. In the example I mentioned I had to put each cube into a null so I could change the cube orientation easily as I used a formula effector for the initial set up. I hope this helps.

Hi love the video, but I have issues every time I set the fix texture to straight, it tiles the texture even when tile is off?? Do you know what the problem could be? I’m trying to make the texture stick to the cube so it doesn’t warp when it rotates but im struggling here. I am using redshift too and my image is a png if that helps.

Hi sorry for late reply, in the node editor, check the options/attributes window for the imported texture/image, there is a section for UV with tiling settings.

Heads up, Fix Texture is broken in the latest version (2024.4.0). You need to use 2023 if you want this to work!
