253 cant be rooted directly bro... need to downgrade and follow this method... I feel id rather do a unlock bootloader and root... just need to look into it a bit... will do it asap

Buddy I cant get back to every comment and especially tech where things can get lost in the mix, thats y I request ppl to post in the forums the fix is simple, all u need to do is... go to the desc. above click on original thread link find a line right there in the 1st post that says "if u had an unlockable bootloader device, after using this method the device will be detected as LOCKED or unlock not possible!!! (to fix this use this fix)" click the "this fix" part download the file and flash

thank you. Only after purchase did i find the xperia only supported fat32 file system on the SD. So no files over 4GB.. I needed root access to install the exFAT mod and this video worked a treat for me. The NFC fix video also worked for me, thanks. search xda forums for the exFAT mod. Copied 7GB xvid file to my xperias micro SDXC and its working great.

what does contain the folder /data/usf? i kept the nfc on, but after rooting it became broken deleting the usf foulder solves the problem, but microphone's work became wose, so, may be the usf and mic work are related?

C4ETech I tried to install CWM on my Xperia Z after rooting with EasyRoot. It seems that when I boot up and press the up volume of my device, it just changes the LED color and no boot screen is loaded. Just a bright blank screen and then the LED turns off. Is there something wrong with what I did? Should I re-root just to be safe? Hoping for your reply! Also to others who've experienced this, please share your thoughts! Thanks!

When I have to push on display, my display go into white and the 'run me' program don't install like in the example movie. there was a strange thing when i installed the flashtool-drivers. two drivers failed with installing ( Sony net and Google inc. usb) Can that be the problem???

hey mate, one problem i found after rooting the phone. You know the "return, Home, Menu" panel right...it doesnt auto HIDE itself anymore. For instance, before i root it when i was playing games it hides to give me full access to the whole screen, but not anymore! anyway to fix this?

Those trying to root .253 firmware here is a good video tutorial to use. If still running .434 dont upgrade to .253 until you watched this as .253 cannot be rooted directly and you will need to downgrade to an older version before you upgrade. /watch?v=zX9ho2OmHmk

Hello man, I'm a new Xperia ZL user and I came from a Samsung Galaxy SII phone, with which root, unroot, return to stock rom (in case we need warranty), install custom roms,etc... was so easy and with a lot of alternatives to follow. Is it more risky to do all those things in ZL? If I root, install CWM, and custom rom, will I be able to return the phone to a factory state (for warranty)? Does it leaves manipulation traces (in Samsung's case, binary counter) and can I cover them in case i need?

Hi Aswin When i Got my sony xperia Z i check several time My Bootloader was ( Bootloader Unlock Allowed = Yes ) and then after the rooting my device with locked bootloader yesterday when i check its showing now ( Bootloader Unlock Allowed = No ) What might be the Cause and what is the Solution For this !!! though my Device is Rooted but Now The Bootloader Unlock Allowing is = NO and what is the Disadvantages of being NO. The runme.bat file froze after going into service tests -> display on the C6603. Xperia's screen stays white and doesn't proceed. It continues after unplugging and replugging the usb cable to the phone, and installs superuser, but superuser doesn't allow root access to root checker. My build is 10.3.A.0.423

Hey everything worked super but when I installed CWM Recovery and while accessing I wanted to wipe data/cache, my phone was hung. I had to restart the phone and after that it never gave me the option to enter into recovery. I am using a xperia ZL. Root works flawlessly.
