It's funny. I've been messing around with modified cars for about 40 years. It used to be that pretty much all the aftermarket headers and exhaust on the market were poorly made and welded, slapped together mild steel crap. That stainless system looks really nice....pretty much as good as a high-end custom exhaust builder could make. Good to see.

I noticed when you had your car in the air you had the lift pads in the wrong position. I'm a former Chevrolet Corvette Tech, and my best advice is to go to a Chevy dealership and ask a Corvette technician to show you how to lift your car on a lift. You'll need 4 Muffler hangers. You put the muffler hanger on your lift pad and then it fits into the factory Corvette lift position. And you won't break your rocker panels. Or by the Chevy special tool which is pretty expensive.

Sounds badass, if you want to eliminate some rasp, you can throw some vibrant resonators right behind the headers, it will clean it up and make it sound more exotic.

Loosen all the header bolts a turn then go back through again. That keeps pressure off one bolts and helps a little to no brake them.

Very nice! I personally likely he M3 in that exact spec personally. Lol Also, a little tip to make life just a little easier, next time you mess with the headers, cut a slot on the bottom of the front and back bolt holes on the gaskets, so you can just bolt up the very front and back bolts and drop the gasket in place. It also makes it a lot easier to replace them later on.

most of the comments about removing those exhaust manifold bolts are referring to removing gm vortec truck engines from junkyards. the ones that have easily 250k to 1m miles, all in the rust belt. i don't think running the engine really helped with heat, normally the amount of heat needed is enough to get the bolts glowing orange hot. here's an old timer junkyard trick someone taught me that hasn't failed yet. get a strong impact gun, set it to tighten, and just barely blip the trigger, enough to start tightening the bolt. then loosen them by hand, but loosen each one a quarter of a turn at a time, until they've all been turned maybe three full rotations. i don't know how tightening the bolts before loosening helps, but i haven't broken a bolt since i was taught this trick. the idea behind loosening the bolts a little at a time is something with the manifold flange flexing if you remove them one at a time. kind of the same idea as torquing cylinder heads down in a sequence.

heat shielding the starter is a great idea on ANY small block chevy set-up heat has killed many starters on my pre-runner k-1500 over the years, heat warp on the solenoid is very real

It's always the bolt on a Chevrolet closest to the firewall that breaks. I had to buy some pretty expensive drills that shoot in weird angles to fix those damn manifold bolts. And it takes hours to draw them out.
