We installed a Corsa Performance Xtreme Axel Back Exhaust on my 2009 Chevy Corvette Z06. I show you guys step by step how to install this system, i'm sure it's the same if not very similar to all C6 Corvettes. Not a hard install at all, the most time we took on a step was removing the stock mufflers/axel pipes. They do take some maneuvering to remove, but they do come out. It sounds INCREDIBLE. It's so loud and now pops and crackles. Highly recommend this system, the build quality is top notch and fitment, like i said, is probably too good because the tolerances of space are very minimal. I will say the Borla Atak system we installed right before this, on ‪@GasTachs‬ Z06, is far superior fitment. However, I can assure you, the Corsa Xtreme is MUCH louder than the Borla Atak. That new exhaust sounds so good. When he fired it up for the 1st time and then blipped it... wow. That was so loud but so good. Also, I thought that would drone so badly but I'm impressed w/ the lack of drone on the highway. Now you need to find a decent tunnel or a wide enough overpass to drive under to let it sing. Congrats man.

Congrats man! Your rev matching is getting pretty good for this being your first manual car. Just wait until you put headers on it. I had sports with ARH headers on my old C6 and it was ridiculously loud. I could only imagine what extremes would be like with headers.

@@Xtalgic ARH long tube headers come with the x-pipe I believe kooks do as well. Just something to keep in mind so you don’t potentially waste money. It will also require a tune for headers. I would recommend doing headers with the heads fix and get it tuned. Haha no pressure 😀

The stock Npp is a perfect exhaust for corvettes. I have a 16 corvette z06. I wouldn't change those mufflers for anything! Love having the dual mode set up loud and quiet when you want. However corsa does sound damn good!

I blew my stock exhaust clean out of the baffles. Wish the c6 stock exhaust was stronger. The c7 is probably much stronger

@Goldfield Design Damn how did that happen? I heard the baffles on the c7 can stop working. And when people get that exhaust crackle tune to make the exhaust sound like it's making popcorn when letting off the throttle, with time can blow up the mufflers.

Pro tip....I looked at time stamp 13:38. You're installing the driver's side muffler on the passenger side. That's why you had such an issue with installation.

with the heads not being done good thing you didn't floor it. I heard the very second you floor it on the LS7 the motor blows up and sucks a valve because of the valve guide issue

Thanks for posting. You have had this system for a while now. Are you still happy with it? Did you have NPP on the car? It sounded somewhat quiet when you were cruising on the highway at low RPM (good feature to have on long trips). If you had NPP just wondering what the comparison is between NPP quite mode at low RPM). I'm putting optimized GM heads on my 2013 427 and adding the Corsa Extreme otherwise car is stock. I will post a before and after video. Thanks

I have an NPP and can tell you it drones at low RPM. Have a Corsa Xtreme sitting in my garage and waiting to install it until after I finish my head swap. From what I hear on the forums it is practically drone free on a stock vehicle. Was debating on going with an aftermarket NPP exhaust but I hear most of them drone more than stock NPP.

@@Cnbecker9 yes my NPP droned in the “open” position at lower RPMs but was very quiet closed. The Corsa has such a great sound. It’s louder than NPP but more importantly it has a better quality sound that only gets better the higher the RPMs. And yes it is practically drone free and pretty quiet cruising highway speeds/low RPMs. Really glad I made the switch.

I have Kooks headers, x-pipe and cammed with the Corsa Sports. Here is what mine sounds like kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpiYf4eZrK91l9E I plan on upgrading to the Extremes cause I want louder and love the no drone of the Corsa. What i have been told is the Extremes give a slightly deeper and louder tone. Normal driving you would be hard press to notice the difference untill you get on it then the difference is big.
